I wished a player like DSjr/LF7 would rat them out.
I’m referring to a high value caliber player that they certainly want, se t the entire thing up from Jr year in Hs.
Get a guy that’s all LSU and has offers from everyone and basically let him be a mole.
Let his family join in and burn that place to the ground.

You’d think between auburn tenn and LSU this would happen.
If in fact true... i just don’t know how they keep his on the downlow. For this long .

I’m sure everyone cheats or bends rules but I continuesly read it’s not onnscale to which Alabama does it.

Then they would end up outing how much they got from LSU.

"Bama offered me $250K but I only took $100k from LSU"

Dude do you really think that LSU is clean? I can tell you a story but I'm not. LSU is not clean. They may not be as bad as the Bamas of the word but LSU is not clean.

The problem is and always will be that Bama is willing to invest much more into CFB because it’s literally the most important thing in the world to them

All the big boys cheat! The difference is some are willing to go a little deeper in the pockets than others!

Yeah Alabama is the only college football team that cheats.

Got some ocean front property for you in Arizona also.

Hate the game not the player.

LSU is just as complicit as are all top tier and successful programs. Albeit there are some not so much.

I'm certain there's an unspoken rule that you don't roll on your competitors regarding this stuff... Because they all do it.

With that said, I'm also certain Alabama cheats in other ways that I wish someone would expose.

Someone made an excellent point about the IRS and these guys not paying taxes on the income, as well as the bagmen not paying taxes on the payment.

I wish the IRS would step in and put a stop to all of it.

Audit everyone and enforce the rules the impotent NCAA refuses to even try to enforce.

What it really takes is a former Bama player who's really mad at Saban for cutting his playing time or benefits, etc. to rat them out. Someone with nothing to lose now. Probably takes a couple of them to get it started.

That's how it happened at SMU. A high profile recruit wound up not playing due to drugs and eventually got booted from the team. He started talking and revealing the chain of benefits. That led to some others he knew who were mad at the coach. A Dallas sportswriter followed up and had a great investigative piece. It's all in the 30 for 30 "The Pony Express".

Like iconic figures you thought could never be toppled- Bobby Knight and Joe Paterno- former players all started coming out about it together after the fact when they had nothing to lose. Neil Reed reported the choking incident with Knight fairly early on, but he was all by himself and got crucified. But a CNN reporter made it his life's goal to investigate the story to bring Knight to justice, and finally someone showed up with an actual tape of Knight choking Reed at practice. But that all took years to happen. There was incredible resistance on all levels to stain a legendary coach, much less remove him.

Saban is not as rotten to his players as Knight, but I'm sure he's not pure in his "business" dealings of processing players, and I'm sure there's at least one dumb Bama benefactor out there who might not cover his tracks as in the Albert Means saga. But it would take a serious investigative effort by some reporter to uncover any evidence or proof since Saban is too smart to not have his machine cover all bases.

It’s not so much whether they cheat, but more so if they “cheat” within the system of rules.

As an example, I knew a former player from the 80’s that had a $15+/hour job sitting at a chemical plant just sitting in the office. He bought a car (Cutlas not a charger), had plenty of walking around cash and it was all within the rules at the time and through a booster. He was recruited by A&M, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, etc. and he relayed that they all offered him something either with a high paid “job” or direct cash.

That was 30 years ago and it is reasonable to think the schemes have only become more sophisticated.

It is going to have to be a disgruntled player from Bama to blow the whistle on Bama, kind of like what happened to SMU.

We’re not clean. I could tell you something right now, but it wouldn’t be a good idea posting it on a public message board. Think about it this way. Think of the top 25 CFB programs in the country. None of them are “angels” when it comes to this stuff.

Do the terms "banks" or "casinos" mean anything in this equation?

There's an unspoken courtesy in the world of college football recruiting. You don't rat me out and I won't rat you out.

It's mutually assured destruction; if you blow the whistle on me I'll do the same to you.

Makes you wonder why O says we do it the right way.

Beats me. He's saying because he doesn't go as far with his tactics as Bama does that means he can claim some kind of moral high ground.

If you're doing something, you might as well do it to the best of your ability. Just get the recruits, no one cares how if another program is willing to go there.
