If someone was never a prospect in any year, can they really reclassify at all?

It's a philosophical ponderance.

You're assuming he's wishy washy or you could see he's been bama bound for a long time

That's that then. Struck out on all the D-Line guys we were after today. Need to seriously evaluate our recruiting strategies. Last year it was CB, this year D-Line. Gotta have more sure thing back-ups in place. They knew going in all of these guys would be extremely tough pulls.

Still a really good class over all, and the good news is 2020 D-Line is stacked with guys we can add.

LSU always seems to be the one getting duped in these signing day battles with Bama. Never fails. Our coaches fall for it every year and it trickles right on down to the recruiting board.

I've no sources, but here's my gut reaction:

Ish has said he and Rodney are playing at the same school. Period. This could be nothing and they both end up at LSU (we've offered both), or it could give Ish an opportunity to walk that back and sign with Bama without Rodney because Bama was never offering him a scholly.

So in 3 to four years we might be strong on the defensive line?!? This is 100% on Orgeron.

You’re assuming he’s bama bound so what’s the difference?

Do we have any indication on if Dennis has opened the facility for a recruit while it was raining out lately? Could be the problem

I don’t think either ish will ever start for either team, no matter where he signs

What was Rodney announcing today anyway?

A high school graduate a year removed from the school announcing that he was taking his talents to MGCC isn't that electric.

Meatball closed on one big recruit, and Orgeron thought he was ready for a big time position on the staff. That was just a ridiculous knee-jerk reaction at a time when we needed a proven guy to take over on the D-line.

My true thoughts on the recruiting process is these kids know from the beginning what they are going to do and there is nothing we can do that already wasn't done years ago to prevent it. I haven't once felt that Ish was coming here because its obvious where he wanted to be. The rest of this stuff is smoke and mirrors and there is no last minute stuff.

I’d disagree with that. A lot of these kids are making their first major life altering decision. There’s a lot of information to process. A lot of influences. It takes time to sort it out.

So enjoy the entire process and the phone calls and tv time, others hate it and want it over with.

It really varies kid by kid

Nothing new to report. Told y'all this morning I was never confident on Moore. Was told Parker was going to be out, but with Moore out that opened up a spot. Didn't think they'd give it to Parker but guess his issues weren't quite as bad as I'd been told. Staff still feels they land Ish, Lee, and Ward.

The comment wasn’t about getting a recruit, it was about leverage on getting a certain recruit.
