I’m well aware of the worst no call in the history of the NFL and the 5 other terrible no calls.

However,
Bilichik dominated and outcoached McVay.

Rams were playing without the top 3 RB in the league and their best WR.

There will never be a louder Superdome.

The Rams were at a huge disadvantage.

Is this another missed opportunity like last season?

Is this another missed opportunity like so many others over the last 10 seasons?

Serious questions.

No, he's gotten plenty of flack. But the point still stands that we had the game taken away from us.

We can play that game.

The Saints were down Sheldon Rankins, Patrick Robinson, Dez Bryant, Keith Kirkwood, Brandon Coleman, and Cameron Meredith.
Davenport, Peat, and probably Watson were hampered by injury.
I honestly think Brees was injured, too.

Well, if he has to be as good as Belichick to be worth it, that's never going to happen.

He did a great job this season IMO.

This isn't true. Gurley was active for the game. And are you saying that Kupp is their best WR? I'm not sure that's true. He's very good, but is he the #1?

He’s the go-to when he’s there. I’d argue the coverage oooks and woods require make him open enough to act like a number 1.

Our offense scored 23 points. That's more than the Patriots scored. He has nothing to do with coaching the defense.

I think CSP coached great this year.

BB is the greatest defensive mind to exist and had two weeks to prepare his ever changing game plan to stop the rams

SP had his own challenge fighting Phillips and a D full of studs

Don't forget that jackass took Hill out of the game. He went right for Hill's head, no flag.

You just made the point that he is their #3. That's comparable to saying Atlanta makes teams guard Julio Jones and Sanu in a certain way....so Calvin Ridley is obviously their #1.

Exactly. Kupp is good, don't get me wrong, but you could argue that Cooks and Woods are equally as good.

I mean, maybe Kupp is the #1, I honestly don't know. I haven't watched enough Rams games to know. But it's not like we are talking about Calvin Johnson and everyone else here.

Sean Payton was short quite a few folks himself then lost Hill also.
In a fair world with fair, unbiased refs, CSP would have matched wits with CBB in the Super Bowl after beating the Rams.
I'm pretty sure that it would have been a much more enjoyable game than the alledged shitshow put on. I say alledged because I didn't watch one down nor any replay of any of it.

I'd say that even the thought that CSP is getting a free pass is a stupid thought

Reread my original comment.
It’s not only directed at one game.

I’ll never get the argument that the HC is not responsible for any aspect of the game.

Coach Sean Payton had to adjust his strategy all game long to account for the 7 refs assigned to the game.

When his QB is repeatedly roughed, his receivers are held, pass interered, and helmet to helmeted with impunity--it is a wonder to me that the Saints didn't get blown out.

It is a testament to the coaches and players that in the face of such NFL contrivances that the team played hard and competitive to the final whistle.

Currently, CSP and Brees are under advisement by the NFL to not criticize or publicly complain about the game under the threat of fine and suspension.

It is easy to malign and disparage people who are not allowed to defend themselves.

I also think this might have been his best year of coaching.

However he is the HC.

He needs to be involved in every aspect of the game.

Are you saying CSP was not responsible for our onsides kick in the SuperBowl that probably won the game for us?

Is he not responsible for the Rams fake punt?

I think the worst decision he made was kicking the second FG, after the INT.

It was 4th and 4 if I recall - leave the offense out there. Going from 3-10 so much more valuable than 3-6.

Oh, please.
That is so weak.
