re: Final Lakers offer to Pels

Feel like when all is said and done, Pels will end up with a bad deal. Things will change, teams will get other options and Pels will get stuck with less than they want.

Spot on.... the “wait and see”...can help/hurt...
I think moving swiftly in this situation would have helped, but I’m not Dell Demps so.... I rather go through a 6 month breakup situation than 1 week...

2 first round picks in the late 20’s might as well be no pick at all.

Have you not watched this trash play without Lebron for the past two months?

Moving quickly would have helped what, getting AD to LA for trash? Not sure how you compare a business transaction to a romantic relationship.

I highly doubt the Pels really give a shite if they lose a trade chip or two in the offseason from the Lakers if they're forced to move him there. Whoopdie fricking do if the Lakers pull Hart/Zubac and the willingness to eat Solo.
Assuming they don't cave by Thursday, Hart/Zubac/eating Solo is not worth not gambling on an offseason deal.

Are you new to being an NBA fan or are you a Lakers fan?
This deal is trash for the Pelicans and the reasons why are pretty obvious, yet you would still rather take it now, than a much better deal this summer? Think before you post.

The problem is any trade made before the deadline likely ends up in a Pels team where Jrue Holiday is the best player and only B level player for the foreseeable future. Make the trade this summer and you can hopefully add another B level player in Tatum or Zion.
If in the end no option is available that gives you a B player, like if the Celtics won't offer Tatum and the Knicks fall in the lottery, your best bet probably still isn't the Lakers. It's taking picks and young players from the Knicks and start a The Process style rebuild.

This offer is nothing more than Adding trash to trash and then pissing on said trash. You want to give up a top 3 player for the chance to give Brandon Ingram the max in 2 years? I hate Ball but he's already said he won't play here. Why on God's green earth would we do this trade at all, especially now?

Lakers can spend this offseason acquiring lottery picks
Posted on 2/5/19 at 2:34 pm to TigerinATL
Exactly. We need a deal that gives us immense potential for the future. The Lakers deal would have the Pels wallowing in mediocrity for the next 3 years and then we would just start tProcess then.
How about we accumulate a shite load of draft assets and maybe a promising young player or two and build for the long term starting now...

Shouldn't be hard. These guys that they are offering are so AMAZING that the Pels are being "outrageous" turning the offer down. Doesn't seem like it will be hard for the Lakers to turn these unbelievable players into assets to make a deal for AD this summer.

We need to take this deal.
We won’t get a better one.

It's a gamble. You could get a much better one for sure.

Is a 6’6 290 Power Forward that doesn’t shoot from the perimeter or mid range or set up teammates. He’s a less skilled Blake Griffin but 3 inches shorter. How many points do y’all think dunks are worth?

From who? Has it been offered anywhere but here?
