The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good and that could be again
Such a great quote.

I think a lot of people are turned off by the intellectual high ground that baseball fans take. They are basically the hipsters of sports. Face it, just because baseball is boring as frick does not make you any more intelligent.
The thing I hate most about baseball is how douchey the average baseball player is, along with the living through my sons accomplishment mindset there brain dead alcoholic fathers display.

Baseball without a doubt. But that doesn’t mean that everyone who dislikes baseball is a mouth breather. It’s a boring sport
Edit: ok hold on, I feel like this argument can go in circles forever if I don’t say this. I was bandwagon as frick in 2009 I believe for LSU baseball. I gave baseball a chance because we were really good, and I actually ended up enjoying the sport way more than I thought I would. After that season, I never really went back to it, but I feel like, with most sports the more you understand and the more you watch, the better it is, and if I kept watching baseball I definitely would still like it.
With that said, there are a ton of dumb arse red neck football fans, mostly because it’s violent and easy to get into. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t people who understand the game of football, who see it as the chess match that it is, who are completely capable of understanding baseball, yet they choose not to because they find it particularly boring.

That’s most definitely soccer in the US. All the hipsters love it because it’s still a small sport compared to the Big 3. Plus it’s not really American.
I personally find baseball boring as shite but I get why people like it

Can't wait. Going see the Rangers, Red Sox, Braves, Marlins (maybe), Astros, Twins (maybe), Cubs, White Sox, Brewers (maybe) and Mariners (maybe) this year.

Nothing baseball fans love more than some old rhapsodizing about baseball. "My erections have come less frequently over the years, but one thing that's never gone away is my hard on for baseball. First, second, third, and home plate, each an oasis of safety in an increasingly confusing world. I remember one game on a lazy Sunday afternoon at the Polo Grounds. Pop was a nickel, and Willie Mays hit a fly ball so high, I swear it touched the face of God. Also, my dad is dead."
Oh, look!! It’s another meat head or nerd who got cut from the little league team!

You gotta be smart to play and coach baseball. Football, you gotta be smart but not as smart as baseball. Basketball is easy and simple, which is why any athletic person is good at basketball even if they don’t play basketball

Can't wait for LSU Baseball to start! I also have the Richmond Flying Squirrels locally to see live and the option of driving to see Washington and Baltimore live.
