Probably never, but that would probably involve 10 wins which would be like a 7 game improvement.

Kansas is a shot show.

6-42 2-34 in conference

7-6 would be a step up.

Kansas has 1 Coach over .500 since WWII and only 4 since WWI

I don't know about top 15 but I'd bet they're top 25 at some point by 2021. Les will probably not make them a title contender, but he'll make them a respectable and relevant team again.

Never. He may get them to their 1st bowl game since 2008 if he stays for 2 or 3 years though.

What is the point of this thread?

We all know it’s almost impossible for Kansas to be a top 15 type of offensive team. It probably wouldn’t matter if they had Lincoln Riley.

So I just don’t get the reasoning of this thread. Are you making fun of Miles? I admire he took that job because he wants to coach. He didnt have to take that job.

Terrible roster structure right now. They're looking at losing over 30 seniors next year, so they will be playing catch up on roster size the next few years.

KU should be able to get better talent over the next few years, but it's still a tough position to start in. If he has them in a bowl game in 2020/2021, most KU fans will be satisfied. I think 2022/2023 they'll be looking for that next step.

I don’t think anybody saying 2021 realizes how bad Kansas is. This is possibly the toughest power 5 job there is. You could say Kansas state but they are in much better shape than Kansas as of right now

I think Les has a deal with his buddy Jeff Long to be at Kansas for 3-4 years, improve the talent, create some stability with the program, and have it ready for someone else to take it over in better condition than he found it.

Essentially he's asking Les to pull the program out of the gutter and win 5-6 games a year and get a little more talent and fan support.

This Kansas program will not turn around quickly.

Well O is getting lauded as a hero for bringing a 9-3 team in 2015 to 10-3 in 2018, so I’d say if Miles gets KU to 4-8 by 2021 he’ll have earned the same amount of respect

That whole wheat/corn belt produces some big, strong kids. Les knows the games are won in the trenches.

The big 12 also plays pretty good ball, but doesn't really play defense on a year round basis. I think Les will try to cut offensive production of opponents by playing tougher defense than they are used to.
