They wont even be challenged except for Texas and they will handle them easily .

They now have 9 months with a new DC and 10 starters back on D to fix the defense.

Now with Hurts and every weapon possible at his disposal, who else besides Bama and Clemson can knock them off next year?

I mean Do you need more teams than Bama and Clemson’s?

Clearly not the team to beat.

I think Hurts is a good QB, but he isn’t close to what Kyler and Baker were.

The way OU is built, they will not have an above average defense. High pace, big play offenses make it almost impossible to do so, especially if they play a team that can control the clock like Texas.

OU was in a lot of shootouts against bad teams this year. That won’t change, imo.

they will find a way to lose to someone shitty.

im thinking Kansas the week before the UT game. Les miles wins on a fake punt of some kind.

Won’t challenge Clemson or Bama. Locked in for playoffs though.

lol

Hurts is the same QB he's been since 2016; an elite scrambler with limited passing abilities. Granted he's going ot have hella WRs to throw to but murray and baker were 1000x the passer that hurts is.

OU may not win the conference with Hurts at QB.

I'm surprised that people even bother responding to this 14 year old OU homer.

So you think Saban recruited him and saw him EVERY DAY in practice for 3 years, yet won't know how to scheme for his weaknesses?

I'm embarrassed my handle is so close to OP's. Thankfully my Pels avi should keep me somewhat separated from his trash can takes.

I'd request a change ASAP. Surely you can get a hardship waiver.

Same guys, same results.

I’m not as down as others are about the addition of Hurts. He’s a borderline great college QB. With that said, he’s going to have to get used to scoring points to win. Running or passing. A 15/25 game with 225 passing yards isn’t going to cut it. He won’t have Bama’s defense to clamp down on a shitty SEC offense. Baker and especially Kyler had to put up insane performances just to beat mediocre teams because their defense was awful.

Texas beat them with Kyler Murray. I think Texas challenges them and could win the Big XII.

Texas is going to get their arse kicked by LSU, and they are going to be Big 12 champs.
