Defense will be biggest improvement in football next year. Basically everyone returning (very young) and an entire new defensive staff.

Same thing was said last year about Murray as well. OU has no chance with Baker gone. There will be huge a drop off. Well we see how that worked out. Hurts is a 26-2 starter so I say he has a chance with the weapons they have.

It can't get any worse. I'll believe it when I see it.

OU Total Defense 114th out of 129

LSU Total Offense 68th out of 129

Don't let the last 2 games fool ya with that offensive ranking.

the last two games aren't responsible for that 40 spot gulf in rankings.

comparing the two units is laughable.

Agree. And it doesn't take more than an eye test to figure that out.

No their offense won't be near as good with Hurts at quarterback. He is a game manager with his throwing ability not a dynamic play maker like the previous 2.

Personally, I’d love to see hurts and Oklahoma beat tua and bama in the playoff next year. Would make for an awesome story.

The way OU is built, they will not have an above average defense. High pace, big play offenses make it almost impossible to do so, especially if they play a team that can control the clock like Texas.

Yep this is crucial. I don’t care who they bring in to coach the D, unless Lincoln Riley decides to change his offense they are always going to have terrible defenses, and won’t always have a heisman qb to bail them out.

Oklahoma hasn't won a Championship in 19 years. Even that was a clunker if a game. 13-2 win against FSU.

Preparing for backlash but Fields to tOSU with Day as HC and two 2nd rated recruiting classes filtering into the lineup... apart from Clemson and Tide they’re the team to watch
