Seems to be the idea that if Murray were 6' you can pick him with any first round pick but if less than 5 9" you don't.

1. What is your guess how tall he measures at combine in stocking feet.

2. 40 times?

3. What round do you think he actually goes?

I'm guessing a spectacular 40 time makes this choice more interesting. You can play him in slot, throw halfback passes, run him in reverses and screens.
Dallas paper has that he ran a 4.38. If he goes 4.38 4.39 his 2 runs at combine he will get picked first round.

5’8 175 at the combine.

Probably runs a 4.4 flat

Where he will make his money is in the 10 yard splits on the 40. Those will be absurd with his quickness.

I doubt he attends the combine - this will probably be a pro day/private workout situation

Didn’t some OU trainer already tweet out what they measured him in socks?

ETA -

OU media relations guy. Obviously could be exaggerating I guess.

1st round - not a top 10 pick though.

He's under 5'9" unless they measure the top of his hair. I wouldn't be surprised if he completely skips the combine.

I'm going to say 5'8.5" 185

ETA:

With a 4.42 40 and pretty big hands for his size. I say bigger hands for his size than normal because of how well he throws that pigskin.

As GM you either think he can play in the NFL or not. If you get bogged down on the measurables you miss out on a lot of great players.

I would be more concerned with his durability than his height at the NFL level.
