This is the cream of the crop as far as car auctions in the states go. The car show started earlier this week but the big time cars are usually auctioned off on Friday and Saturday.

The event is in its 48th year now and is so big that it covers two weekends. This past weekend and this upcoming week.

The TV schedule is
Tuesday 5pm to 10pm on Velocity and Motor Trend
Wednesday 5pm to 10pm on Velocity and Motor Trend
Thursday 5pm to 10pm on Velocity and Motor Trend
Friday 3pm to 11pm on Velocity and Motor Trend
Saturday 2pm to 7pm on Discovery and 2pm to 11pm on Velocity
Sunday 1pm to 6pm on Velocity

You can also watch online from a few different streams
LINK

I have been browsing the docket the past few weeks and apparently they are done with the Salon collection. These were usually the very high dollar cars on Saturday afternoon/evening. They still have those cars, but they just dont have a designation now.

This is a link to the whole docket. LINK

Here are some of the cars that are going to roll across the block. They have 3 collections being sold and multiple charity cars. The Bryan Frank collection consists of about 50 cars of various makes and models. The Bumblebee collection, which is 4 cars from the Transformers movies. Those 4 are going to charity. The last is the Jerry Maddox mustang collection. Its 18 cars and some imo are garbage.

I'll go through the docket more and add some more cars later.

I watch it every year. I find it very entertaining to watch. To me, it kicks off racing season which is my sports pass time after football is finished.

We went to the one in Vegas about 8 years ago. I was shocked they had some decent deals early on before the weekend started with the higher end vehicles. Of course the buyers premium offset that (think it was somewhere around 10%). Hope to make the Scottsdale auction one of these years.

The best car show I ever attended was Barrett-Jackson in Orange County. It’s the first and only time I’ve seen a Veyron in person. The Scottsdale show is supposed to be the best one.

Isn't Eleanor a Super Snake? That car could go for $1.5-2M easily.

I’m really interested to see the final bids on the 69 zl1 copo and mustang gt500KR. Those 2 should fetch some good money if the top is ripe with rich intoxicated ego maniacs.

Nurse, this year, try to take a few close up pictures of engine compartment if you can. I’m always curious to see the quality of restoration or work on customs that you just can’t tell on TV. It looks good on TV but the paint, engine compartment, etc sometimes leave something to be desired in person, close up.
