Wonder how the Steelers bounce back then since they have months off.

Saints clearly are the center of your universe. You’re stuck in Saints land as a Steelers fan. Sucks for you. I bet it makes you hate us even more. I certainly hope so.

I'm not worried about it at all, however, Brees definitely looked off. Something was going on with him. Making some weird throws, delay of game penalties/unnecessary timeouts, constantly shaking his arm in the huddle and pre snap, the audible before the field goal, fighting with Payton on the sidelines, etc...

Something was going on with him. Maybe his kids didn't sleep. Maybe his wife didn't blow him. Maybe he got tired of all the hands to the face after every throw that the officials never called. I don't know.

That was a dirty brutal game and we won it anyway. That's the mark of champions.

Big turnover early, down 14-0, etc... And we pulled it out because this team is special.

Maybe having 3 weeks off was just hard to shake in the first quarter

They'll be fired up to destroy the Rams in a week.

I would agree with that. I don’t think Drew expected Ginn to have beaten LeBlanc that much or be as deep as he was.

And Arm strength I would think is more of not being able to put zip on the ball, not not being able to get it there. It didn’t hang in the air like a dying duck. Obviously Drew’s arm isn’t the same but I think he can still hit deep shots.

The first was a timing issue. I would think.

Really blame the whole 1st quarter on having 2 weeks off. It's never the best thing.
Does the Saints offense suck or not?

So confused by your posts on this thread

Bro we ain’t special

Just keep winning, in non-special type ways

This fgt is so butthurt. He can’t even go to work without constantly hearing about the best team in football. Meanwhile his team is a complete fricking shitshow.

I support the Saints. Not like I won't. Go to games, cheer for them. They are the local team.

Just born and raised to watch good football. Sorry.

It's fine to support both. You ppl can't comprehend. Not sure the issue.

Your use of words is amazing.

Who said that was an issue?

Please do.

Seems like no one can jump into a discussion with different viewpoints.

Different viewpoints? You pretend to support the team when all you do is come to this board and the MSB to talk shite.

Be a Steelers fan, and own it. We don’t mind. We don’t like you either and would prefer you move your happy arse somewhere else.

But don’t pretend to support the team in the middle of arguably the best or second best run in its history. Too late for all that, fgt. Take your shite somewhere else.

“Fans are the worst, city smells like shite, Steelers beat themselves, Saints aren’t special, etc- but hey, I support y’all now because my team is at home and I live here and want to have something to be happy about”

No, bitch. Move along.

Upvote.

Now would you two stop whining so we can get back to discussing the Saints?

I can't complain about resting starters, but the team in general looked very rusty to start the game and it showed they'd been off for maybe too long.

The defense played lights out, outside of the first two drives, and typically that isn't a big deal so long as the offense is matching the other team.

We had a very real chance of going down 21-0, which would have been scary, but the D clamped it down to the point where this team was really a complete domination if you remove the 1st quarter.

We cannot afford to start slow against the Rams, and the o line needs to dig deep and play the game of their lives.

I am a Steelers fan.

I can talk shtt in the sense of good sport. For the game that week etc.

Also can support teams outside of it. I talk shtt year round about my shtty city and the delusional fans. You want to talk fair weather fans? I think Louisiana as a whole is the worst.

Those positions will never change.

Now that doesn't mean I can't take part in good discussions about the team. I admire this team, esp Drew. I mean who can't.

Agree.

Rest is fine but you have to expect a slow start with 2 weeks off. History tells us it will happen. They rebounded better.

I'm not sure of the actual stats, but it seems the dline needs to as well. I honestly cannot remember one time the quarterback was even pressured. The fans put more pressure on the d-line in that game. However, I did see a few blatant holding calls on Cam Jordan that never got called.

honestly thought our last possession was too conservative. If we’re just running our normal offense then I think we at least get the 3 there, possibly 7. But I think that was Sean realizing our D was keyed in.

See, i thought they played it right. They wanted to run clock but get closer into FG to just put the game away with a FG.

they had a short pass to ingram on 2nd down that only gained a yard, then Kamara lost -3 on 3rd down making it a long FG. (Philly has to burn a TO). Ideally you get at least close to the 1st down sticks with plays like that, if not the 1st D. They were poorly executed and got blown up

ideally you get Lutz into a 40 something yarder and clock still tick or they burn valuable TO's.s. Game practically ends on a FG. If you amp it up instead and The ball starts hitting the ground you are in trouble

I think Kamara has been fine but I was nervous as hell on last drive when we were trying to run out the clock. He got the shite knocked out of him on one carry and I held my breath worrying about a fumble.

His complete lack of enthusiasm worries me. After every play, he looks like someone told him his dog died. Maybe that's just the ice cold competitor in him and he keeps his personality in check for after the game.

I do get concerned sometimes that he's impatient and he knows how good he is, and he wants the ball more. However being a part of a winning team goes a long way in keeping those feelings from spilling over.

I mean he has underthrown most deep out routes this year. Maybe he is losing a step there. But he still has the arm strength and timing, those throws to Thomas on his drag and crossing routes were on point.

Not too worried. I think the Rams are going to protect the middle of the field a lot more this game and less on the outsides though.
