I always liked Trey Burke since college. Not sure if the Pels have any interest in him tho.

If Dell hadn't traded for Jrue, it was widely known he would have taken Burke over Noel. Not sure if his feelings have changed since then.

The time to go out and get a Trey Burke was a month ago. Why the frick we’ve stayed the course with Tim Frazier for as long as we have is beyond me.

He wouldn't have taken Burke over Noel.

Again, the trade was worked out in advance - if Noel, Bennett, or Oladipo were on the board, he was taking that guy and trading him to Philly. If none of them were there, yes he takes Burke.

But he wasn't taking Burke over Noel,.because that means he was taking Burke over Jrue

Burke isn't really that much less of a fringe NBA player than Frazier. He scores more (on similar percentages) while assisting less and advanced stats say Burke is even worse on defense. That could be because Fraizer has played so many minutes with AD/Jrue, but the basic point is Burke is just a different flavor of the same thing, not really an upgrade.

The only way I see these cuts mattering at all is if they think someone like McCaw has more potential than Kenrich Williams.

He said "if we had not traded for Jrue."

I don’t think Trey Burke is good by any means. I meant the time to kick the tires on some veteran guards who aren’t Tim Frazier was a month ago.

Gotcha. I think the problem is the Pels really could use a 2nd string PG and only 3rd string or worse are available.

Is MCW somewhat decent defensively? Always kind of viewed him as a poor man’s Shaun Livingston. Has size. Wouldn’t mind taking a flyer on him. Can’t be worse than Frazier, right?

That would be a Demps move...waive Okafor and sign TJ McConnell
