42 posted an article a few weeks back where he made a pretty decent argument that Okafor is here to be Randle insurance, especially next year. He's not as good as Randle, but if you needed to trade Randle or just guard against him leaving in FA, with Okafor you already have another big on the roster that can score in the paint and rebound in a 6th man role.
