I have and I stayed in the hospital for a week with only a mild case. I had a surgery on my bile ducts and got pancreatitis as a result of that surgery. It suuuccked. Your friend wouldn’t be walking around eating and carrying on if she had acute pancreatitis.

Could be a colon infection/inflammation.

Looks like you seek to be the center of attention with every post.

This could be anything. What you seem happiest for it to be is a way for you to be the center of attention.

Of course it is most likely to be an absolute lie. I do understand that

She’s probably using this as an excuse to not have sex with you.

I can't believe you just posted that. Do you really lack that much insight or are you joking?

No, an alcoholic is a person who drinks regularly and despite attempts to limit or stop consumption due to life problems caused by drinking. Physical dependence is usually only seen in the more severe alcoholics.

Lack of physical withdrawal symptoms does not mean that you are not an alcoholic.

The second and last time I had pancreatitis the pain was so bad that it was immobilizing. I had to get a ride to the ER because I couldn't possibly drive. It was awful.

I’ve never met anyone that drinks vodka from a water bottle who wasn’t an addict.

I spent a literal week on morphine in the hospital after eating cheap malted milk chocolate Whoppers as the trigger for my pancreatitis. Now healthy stuff like raw veggies triggers it, yet I can eat corn and potato chips all day. Just adding lettuce to a turkey sandwich had me nearly headed to the ER after Thanksgiving. 1st sandwich w/out lettuce went down fine about 3 hours earlier.

It's pancreatitis for sure when it's hard to dial 911 while curled in the fetal position in the floor unable to do much except groan from pain.

How many whoppers did you eat??

I’m not sure how anyone reading this thread is still giving him any advice other than to stop drinking. Not a chance he has pancreatitis

Not THAT many really. It was only about 3 months after a lap chole for gallstones though. Yeah 2 trips to the ER with almost 2 weeks in the hospital for "connected" issues. Only roughly $95k in med bills (earlier saw the yahoo "sponsored story" headline about financial adviser and how he got himself out of his "major" hole of $50k, the amateur! lol)

Could also be gallstones, but nobody’s going to know if she doesn’t get it checked out

Sorry for your friend and her condition. She needs not just a doctor, but a specialist - gastroenterologist. You can’t google a diagnosis.

Symptoms suggest a lot of “could be” stuff. I’m not going to list them because I don’t know. I do know my 37 year old son has Crohn’s and was diagnosed when he was 20-21. Two or three surgeries later, he is currently doing ok, but on a biological infusion drip that must be administered in doctor’s office every 28 days. Takes a couple of hours each time, but results and process compared with the alternative are worth the minor discomfort and inconvenience of treatment.

Gastric stuff should not be messed with.
