If you have watched his film, he knows how to block...he just has to know the offense and when to pass block...but, he can definitely block.

I think its stingley.

This isnt gonna make any of you happy, and I wasnt happy hearing this, but I've heard that multiple high school coaches have said Emery is really overrated. When you watch him in person theres nothing that jumps out at you as "this is a 5 star talent." Aparently LSU totally whiffed on this commit according to high school coaches and that the kid from u high or where ever was definitely the best in state, currently headed to Virginia.

I don’t see Joseph beating out Todd Harris for that other safety spot

Running back probably the easiest position to come in and play early. CB is definitely not. So yeah Emory even though Stingly is going to be a flat out stud for us.

Wow. Both! We need a stud to fill in for Greedy and I think Stingley can do that, especially going through spring with the team. I would add Ty Davis to Emery at RB. I think both will be huge and immediate impacts on offense.

Maybe he is overrated, but let's not act like LSU is the only school that was duped if so. His offer list is a who's who of college football.

LSU
Alabama
Georgia
Auburn
Florida
FSU
Miami
Michigan
MSU
Oklahoma
Oregon
Tennessee
Texas
USC

I'll start off with saying that I've watched UHigh play several games this year and I left every game feeling like Hollis was the best player on the field by a large margin. Having said that, his top end speed is not exceptional and he is a 30 carry back in highschool so I think he will be a workhorse in college, but as far as him being the best in LA I can't say that. I would like your friend or source's contact info though because it looks like your source knows more that about 6 grown men who put there money where their mouth is and offered Emory over Hollis. And every one of those men have roughly $1-$6mill on the line for their bet and not just their internet chat room rep..

Agreed, Emery will surely make some really big plays but CEH, Curry, Tyrion etc will all get touches... Whether or not Stingleys name is called or not every play he will have an impact on every defensive snap. A CB like that has an effect even before the game because he allows different scheming, blizes etc...he fundamentally changes the defense.....he will also break a few big returns I'm sure

Stingley will be the PR for sure.

Personally I think Trey Palmer will return kicks.

For those Emory doesn't get 200 touches next year I disagree. They both will be starters from day 1. A RB will always get more attention and prob have bigger impact. Stingley has a real chance to impact our return game as well. Bring it on.

Most accurate post yet. They both are going to get every opportunity to make an impression on the SEC from day 1. shite, the floor of this argument is going to be exciting, the ceiling will be the frickin roof baby. They're going to be awesome to watch. I'd like to see both KR

I bet Stingley is a day 1 starter and Emery shares carries. So Stingley plays more, but I think Emery has a bigger “impact” on the offense vs Stingley for the defense.

It’s a very solid question OP, but a tough one to answer.

wait wtf?!

I know high school coaches myself that are close friends and they think he is a stud. His stats and highlights prove it.

Stingley was already practicing with the team before the bowl game, therefore enrolled and will practice in spring....I question your opinions if you didn’t know that already

Oh you heard that did you?

Did you hear about how Bama, UGA, LSU, Michigan, USCw, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas offered this kid? But I’m sure a couple of HS assistants know more than all of the nations elite programs.

What about when he went to the opening against the nations best talent and shot up recruiting boards because he was the best among the best? How about when he ran a 4.42 at over 200lbs?

Did you see when he put Nakobe Dean on roller skates?

This is complete bullshite. He ran for damn near 2000 yards and had 26 TDs his senior year. He was a 2nd team all American.

I saw him play in 3 games his senior season and it was blatantly obvious who the 5* was. It was the kid that was faster than everyone else on the field, by a lot and the one that had multiple 50+ yard runs.

fricking retarded. Mike Hollins was a very good highschool back but he’s nowhere near the athlete of John. That was extremely clear at camps.

Don’t come on to an LSU recruiting board and call the kids overrated if you have no idea what the frick your talking about. It’s embarrassing to the fan base.

Also name the schools where some of the supposed coaches are at or don’t say shite again. I hate people and reporters with “anonymous sources”.

But, creating depth and keeping a 3rd guy rotating in, for injury purposes is a must. And, you still have to have nickel and dime guys.
Wheter Stingley or Joseph starts you have a 3rd corner. So that arguemenf really has nothing to do with Stingley starting.

quote:

Coaches prefer experience over inexperience...and that's why Vincent will not move to corner unless Stingley, Fulton, or Joseph is hurt.
The coaches prefer the best player.

If they preferred experience wouldn’t Kary be our #1 CB? He’s played there more than any of the other guys?

Why did Kelvin start over Kary this year?

Stingley is a freakshow. I’ll be very surprised if Kelvin beats him out.

Damn Solo Cam, maybe the best retort I’ve seen on this board. You nailed it. There’s a reason one kid was a battle between Bama, Georgia and LSU and the other one is going to frikin Virginia!!!!
