O is a Les Miles clone, yet he “gets credit” for this season.
Garbage Offense
Speech Impediment
Good Recruiter
Control clock, run up the middle till it works
Win ugly
Go into hope and pray mode with a lead
Les Miles 2.0

No shite thats why we fired the last coach. Because losing 3 games wasnt good enough

No one that gets paid to evaluate talent calls lsu anything but one of the most talented teams in cfb. Where do you people get this bullshite stance that we arent talented?
No one questioned our talent until O herp derped his way into losing to mid majors. Get a grip on reality.

Yes, ultimately we want more wins but in judging his work, we need to look at more than that early on.
For example, do we still have more kickers on scholarship than we have LBs?

If you are talking about skill positions, yes we have always had talent. Talking about Oline and Dline, this is 100% bullshite. Bama has top of the line talent on the line year in and year out. That is the difference between us and them.

I just laugh at some of these miserable people who trashed O all year long. LSU seems to be headed in the right direction!!!
Good Job Coach!!!

Will give him credit for a good season. However he missed Burrow's touch down in Fiesta Bowl, and I believe another not reviewed call in the AM game.
Whoever is giving him that advice needs to be replaced.

Are counting that O-line. Because there are at least 6 in the SEC better.

This. Credit where it’s due. Despite the offensive troubles we wound up with a good season. Time to take the next step forward next season with a loaded, experienced roster

In what universe do you think i meant we have the talent Bama does? Nobody is close to bama.
And can you explain why the dline guru that is ed orgeron cant take 4 star dlinemen and turn them into productive dlinemen?
And in no way did miles leave the lines bare.

Can you point out which of those guys were drafted & where?

basically. next year is make or break. there aren't any excuses. we were gifted a competent QB by the FB gods and should have consistency at OC, OL, and WR. new RBs are a blessing b/c they're super talented freshmen
if lawrence returns our D should be salty. if white returns we may be looking at a GOAT-quality LSU D

What does that have to do with being a quality college player? Do all of Bama's players get drafted? You can be a good/great college player but not make it in the NFL.
Coach O has done a sufficient job to be brought back next year. If they don't compete for the league title or possibly make the playoffs next year, they never will under O.

O always seems to be in his first year.
The guy took over a team with a roster that was sorely depleted on offensive line, defensive line and QB. WR was a little weak, too. He had to rebuild these. It doesn't happen in one year. In February Ed Orgeron will have signed three recruiting classes. The first one was Les' class that he simply held onto. The second class was signed with barely over a year to work on it. This last class was signed with the benefit of two solid years of work, and it is one of the nation's best. Next year's class looks like it could be the #1 class in America.
I call this moving in the right direction. Look at the two trends for the most recent years:
Recruiting rankings: 7 - 15 - 3 - 1(?)
Record: 8-4; 9-4; 10-3
I was against the hire, but I'm on the fence now. If he does not improve on three losses next year I will be in favor of replacing him. But if he does, I think we should extend his contract.

This team could have easily had a 1 loss season. Florida and A&M slipped away. Sure we all wish we had those wins, but this was a fun and entertaining season
This is the difference in great coaches and
good coaches

dude. don't act like O was a new coach with a new staff and had to start from scratch

we should legit challenge for the SEC next year and if white comes back, the national title.
