This man has done a great job. Yes, the offense looked like garbage at times, but he's worked his arse off and they have improved. I give credit where credit is due.

He had a good year, can we improve, frick yes,i hope the offense keeps improving.

Great job? His best season is a 3 loss season.
When the hell did 3 loss seasons become great at lsu?

Decent season but 3 losses should be our floor because there arent 3 teams more talented than us on this past year's schedule.

I’m anti O, but I’ll give him credit. I feel like we’re on an upward trajectory and I guess that’s all we can ask for. I’d still really like to see a change in philosophy on offense. The days of controlling the clock and winning field position/ limiting mistakes are gone for most teams, but I still feel like this is his main goal. Go score points man. Try to win 80-0 every game. Take some chances. Open it up. We did these things the other day bc we knew we were in a race given the shape of our defense, and even then, settled for four field goals under 30 yards bc we were scared to death of making a mistake in the RZ. I’d feel a lot better if I had any confidence that’s how our scheme would look going forward, assuming we could fix red zone woes, but I don’t. I think we threw more passes over the middle Tuesday than the whole rest of the year combined. We’ll revert back to the safe crap again.

8, 9, then 10. That is trending upward. As much as anything perception is the key. Next year will be difficult because you will start ranked highly and you will be a target. There will not be this underdog, us against world theme to play out. We will see how he handles that. Either way I will be watching and screaming GEAUX TIGERS until I am hoarse!

Well let’s be real..... would a two loss season be ‘good enough’? Of course it will not be. Never mind the fact that we won the division, conference and NC with only one less loss.
Just think, we were one more win away from a NC caliber season.

I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with limiting mistakes. Controlling the clock was absolutely the right thing to do yesterday.

I agree. I like the direction the program has been going since coach O took over. You could really see it this year.
We are going to finish in the top 10 for the first time in 7 years after having three losses, two of which were very close losses on the road that could have gone either way. Recruiting is coming on strong for the 2019 class and the 2020 class is already looking good. Plus it looks like the team is going to have experienced and talented players at key positions , plus an influx of talent for the 2019 season. 2019 season is shaping up to be a good one. It is fun to be a tiger fan once again.
It is easy to be optimistic right now with all the good and positive things going on.

I don’t feel like we played a clock control, safe game on Tuesday. First time all year I felt that way. That was my point. We opened it up bc we knew we had to outpace ucf given the state of our defense. We ran plays I’ve been screaming for us to run all year. Passes over the middle. RB’s out of the backfield, etc. It worked like a charm. We were aggressive and I loved it. But I can’t help but wonder why we haven’t done it all year and I question will we do it going forward.

Orgeron definitely had a good year. We should all be happy with the finish to the season, and our potential recruiting class.

However, 3-loss seasons and the offense looking "like garbage at times" wasn't considered a great enough job to save Les. I don't believe it should be considered doing a great job now.

I would say that given the limitations of the roster he inherited; the number of injuries and attrition incurred; quarterback situation and schedule it was a damn fine season. We let two games slip away but they were both on the road against good teams.

If 3 losses is the floor then we failed a number of times since 2007.

Good point. Admittedly, I don’t give Ed enough credit for going out and getting Burrow. I think the season is much different without him.

This team could have easily had a 1 loss season. Florida and A&M slipped away. Sure we all wish we had those wins, but this was a fun and entertaining season. Can't for next season to get here! Hoping to read fewer posts from you though.

With all due respect, we got royally fricked against aTm. The Gump and Jort game is solely on him.
