Ditto. I have my trusty Seiko. Just inherited my dads Rolex Oyster. It’s an unassuming SS watch with SS band. Nothing fancy. But it was my fathers so it has tremendous sentimental value.
Never have to wind the Seiko tho. And there’s a clock on my phone, car, computer, tv, and damn near every appliance or electronic device I own.

I feel like that is now the Apple Watch.

You can buy counterfeit Rolexes for 500-600 bucks that require a knowledgeable jeweler to remove the back
Nah, just looking at the paint, bezeling, and second hand motion will tell you what you need to know. If they’re that good they’d be working for a legit company.

Seiko over Rolex all day everyday

I have had one for 26 years, bought it when I was 26, because I was young and dumb...and thought it was cool to have one like some of my rich buddies after college
it still looks brand new....
honestly I rarely wear it anymore, it's heavy...and I guess I've changed...dunno, but I have no intention of selling it
hopefully I can pass it on to my son and it will mean something to him...
The watch has nearly doubled in value what I paid for it...
but that's been offset by carrying insurance on it all these years.

I went with an Omega Seamaster. If it’s good enough for James Bond it’s good enough for me.
I hate to ruin this for you, but the original and most prominent Bond watch is a Rolex Submariner (which is a classic). Omega (while still a great brand) didn’t come on the scene until the 90’s Pierce Brosnan years.
Omega is most notable for being the Olympic timekeepers and the watch US astronauts wore when we went to the moon.
Are there a lot of pretentious broke-dicks wearing Rolexes? Of course. But that doesn’t mean it still isn’t a classic name with some classic time pieces

Every guy whom I dated who wore one was a giant dbag.

Played out. Entry-level associates at an investment firm wear Rolex's. If you're talking about a 1960's Daytona, you have my attention. If you're on the two year "waiting" list for a GMT-II, you're an idiot.
I wear a Hublot and have only seen a handful on wrists in the states.

Why are millennials triggered by stainless steel?
