I might be in the minority, but I think a dude dressed as Ace Ventura at a New Years party would be fun to laugh at.

The only thing that’s true about this story is that you’re hideous looking.

Should've gone as fire marshall Bill

Would have been to over the top

Even if any of this is true......who in 2019 thought an Ace Ventura reference would work?!

Damn I know guys like you that go over the top to impress. I’m not Brad Pitt( never was) and I’m older now ( 52) but I always seem to have gotten beautiful women I think by just being myself and not trying to act like someone I’m not. My wife now ( 52 also no pics) is beautiful and I get asked “ How did you get with her”... just be yourself and definitely don’t go over the top in character

Pretty amusing story.
Try being yourself, that's how you win a women's heart.

Not when it's the creepy quiet dude from work that was only extended an invite out of courtesy

Re-read the OP. Being himself is a terrible idea.

Atleast I dress sharp at work usually rocking black slacks, my grand fathers patton leather shoes blue button down. Sometime rock my rainforest cafe vest

Or fake it long enough that she feels like she's invested too much to dump you.

No, you didn't. Now it's obvious that this is either a troll or a person with very little chance of making it through life.

You should have gone to the NYE's party as one of the members of Bob Newhart's group therapy sessions:
Mr. Carlin
