How dare they try and convince people that their product is worth watching!

If this was like those old dynasties Alabama would not have won in 2011 or last year. Why? LSU and Georgia would have been playing someone else in the sugar while Alabama would have been somewhere else praying for upsets.

This board always jerks off over the Pats and says people love dynasties but when a couple of them are around in CFB every one bitches and moans. Oh wait. LSU board... bitching and moaning... ahh now I get it.

No one blames them. Nothing wrong with pointing out that they know it's trash and people aren't going to watch.

The Patriots don't rely on a committee sitting behind closed doors to put them in the Super Bowl.

The big question to me is how have these two programs outpaced all other CFB programs?

Part recruiting, part circumstance.

I hate the Patriots. Nice generalization, though.

Bryant, Paterno, Scembecler, Broyles, Royal, Hayes, Osborne, Wilkerson. None of those guys made the rest of CFB irrelevant. There was always somebody who could give them a challenge and had a realistic chance of beating them. What Saban has done is unprecedented, at least in the modern era. Maybe you could go back to somebody like Walter Camp or Amos Alonzo Stagg for a comparison, IDK.

Moreover, Saban knows exactly what he's doing to the game, and he doesn't give a shite.

They need to cap the number of players on teams to 70 to spread the talent to other colleges.

None of them would have won a national title without winning their conference title either. Saban has two titles after being given a second chance they would not have had.

We’re not talking about commercials, which would be fine, but if a columnist like Schlabaugh is writing a column or worse was instructed to write a column in an attempt to promote the game, that would severely undermine his credibility. FTR I don’t think he was doing that and that he really believes what he wrote, but some of you should think before trying to pounce on other posters

Oh so Ohio State's recent natty was bullshite b/c they relied on a committee to stick them in? Glad to see you admit tOSU didn't deserve to be in the playoff that year.

The CFB national title game is one of the most well known sporting events in the country.

Don’t you find it a little peculiar that ESPN has to write an article (not a 15 second ad mind you) to tell us why this is worth watching?

GTFO. I don’t know a single person who’s excited about this other than fans of the two teams, and most of them wish they were playing someone else. I absolutely love college football, but I don’t even know if I’m gonna watch this.

Sorry your team sucked
Nobody cares if you watch or not
