Anyone know why Williams Blvd in Kenner is closed beneath I-10? Saw both exit ramps to Williams closed and cops have the intersections on both sides of the interstate closed on Williams.
Trump coming to Williams Blvd today?

Statement retracted, as it was pointed out to me that some may find it a good idea.

Are they finally going to fix the Williams blvd bottleneck? 4 lanes to 3 then back to 4 always backs it up

They caught someone driving with an expired brake tag

I do not miss that drive to work every morning. Williams/I-10 merge and Williams/Vets was a disaster of epic proportions.

Was really confused about this too when I drove by a few hours ago. No wreck or anything

Thousands are without electricity this morning in Kenner. The strong winds have downed power lines along Williams Blvd. Gusts to nearly 80mph are possible with the approaching front. Getting to the airport from the interstate may be challenging today.

You know those radio commercials that Entergy is running right now, talking about how they are investing money here to harden the system and make it more reliable?
This is why. Hours before the storm arrives, power lines are already coming down.

Enter get us shoring up all their big transmission lines. Putting up new systems making sure they have redundancy in the system. They DGAF about the little lines. Fix em as they break.
