Is it realistic to think the Saints resign Ingram?

What’s the general thought process on retaining him next year?

I absolutely think something gets worked out. I don't see him getting huge money and if I'm him I'd rather stay in this great offense and not go somewhere I get run into the ground.

I’d keep him just to make Kamara happy

I think he gets a 5yr/30mil deal with 14mil guaranteed.

Pretty much keeps him here through brees era and maybe to the end of his career if he doesn't fall off (likely can be cut after 3)

How about winning back to back Super Bowls? Re signing Ingram sure wouldn’t hurt that possibility if we happen to win it all this year.

IMHO he stills valuable carries from Kamara. I also think he's very expendable and can be trade bait.

No? The offense was negatively affected by him being out and saves Kamara from taking the bruising he usually takes.

Do you want mike Gillespie again? That was awful

It's the opposite, the more Ingram runs the more effective kamaras touches are

We’re upgrading to Kareem Hunt.

Ingram is the heart and soul of this team, that’s worth a mil a year alone, give him a 4 year 22 mil deal with 13 guaranteed

Yes because of one reason, his value.

He is going to be 29 years old and just served a four-game suspension for PEDs, which is always a bad thing especially during a contract year. But it his going to be his contract value that will keep him in New Orleans and here is why.

He might think he is going to find a team willing to sign him for 25-30 million but it just is no longer going to happen. He failed to follow his career year with another spectacular one so teams will not be spending that kind of money on him.

Instead, he is going to get offers closer to $15 million over 2-3 years to play for teams that may or may not be contenders OR he can resign with the Saints, who could return the same team they have this season, and make another title run at a discounted rate.

My gut says he stays home.

Ingram will have to take less money to stay. He might or he might not. He’s beloved in the locker room by many so as long as the Saints don’t low ball him he probably will take less. He’s not gonna be in high demand because he’s 29.

That said, he’s a Pro Bowl RB so Saints aren’t gonna get him for pennies

He's a blue collar dude from the mid west... Great people. Dude is all about his team and a winner... Great humanitarian too. You'd be a fool to lose him.

Is this a serious inquiry?

He gets resigned and finishes his career in New Orleans like Deuce did.

Hes earned that deal.

i think they have every intention and desire to resign him, they want him to retire here

that said, they arent going to overpay him and that may be what he wants

also, if another team has a dire need they might be willing to pay more then us so i say its 70%-80% he resigns with us
