If they made a character that looks like him, then I could see that being an issue, but a dance that you used for that show, if anything the show owns the rights to the dance.

I guess I’m just tired of the sue happy shite.

It’s like all 10 year olds playing fortnite

The adults that play might as well be in the panel vans with the candy

I would think someone can patent or trademark a dance move. People patent phrases and people own songs. TV shows, movies, etc can't use sing the Happy Birthday song without seeking permission or paying to do so because it is owned by someone.

If you came up with something (doesn't matter what it is) and you own it, would you be okay with other people taking it and profiting from it?

It was a really popular show and the actors probably had a lot of leverage to negotiate the property

Plus his dad was a judge

Does this mean Fortnite can sue Antonio Brown and Pizza Hut for using one of their dance moves for a pizza commercial?

Came to post this.

Not really, but it's a solid argument.

That is 100% a carbon copy of his dance.

This disappoints me. I met him in Biloxi back in 2005. Was super cool, didn’t act like anyone special and this kind of puts a damper on that for me.
It's the thing he is the most famous for.

And honestly, I've never seen anybody do it like he does. The way he moves his hips and feet in combination with his upper body has never been matched by anyone.

I have literally never seen anyone do it perfectly.

Yet the dance in the game is done 100% perfectly. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually used a clip of him from the show to and use markers to capture his exact movements.

You can trademark a dance? Can you trade mark a pimp strut?

Yeah... WoW is in trouble if he's successful in this suit.
