Word on the street is that Arby's is finally heading to the Westbank on Manhattan, where Dunkin Donuts used to be. Any truth to this tale? I figured if anyone would know, it would be y'all.

I haven't heard anything but I've seen them doing a huge transformation and expansion elsewhere.

Based on Arby’s target demographic, the West Bank is a perfect location.

We used to have a bunch of them in BR and they all closed around the same time. There's still one in Denham Springs.

If I could get Arby's fries without having to battle Metairie traffic, my morale would increase exponentially.

You used to could choose between two different kinds of fries and also one of these potato patties that was sort of like a McDonald's hash brown thing at Arby's.

The other fry option were handcut style fries that were far superior to those battered curely-Q things.

They need to bring those back, along with the hash browny thing.

Lucky Harvey, it will be busy for a few months, then people will realize it's not very good, and in a year it will be deserted.

Arby’s is a lot different now then years ago. I had a solid sandwich there recently.

I remember when the first Rallys opened on the westbank.

Cars were wrapped around the joint and they had to close down exits for weeks. It was insane.

I expect that to be topped. Keep us posted.

I remember eating at the one on Burbank a lot growing up. It was a frequent stop before LSU baseball games. Now, it's a Taco Bell.

In addition to the Denham Arby's, there's also a nasty truck stop one in Port Allen at the Lobdell exit.

I miss Arby's. I used to eat at the one on Jones Creek occasionally.

I really don't get the love for Arby's. Their roast beef sure doesn't look or taste like any roast beef that I had. If you look at the ingredients that are just in Arby's beef, I'm not putting that in my stomach. The best fast food roast beef that BR ever had was Danvers on Fla.Blvd. Their roast was real meat plus their sauce was outstanding.

Won’t last there. They don’t have a dollar menu.

Try their reuban or their brisket sandwich next time.
