Shortbread, sugar, ginger bread, or something else?

For us it was short mbread, and gingerbread men were something else.

ETA: Lebkuchen

My aunt use to make these killer rum balls, that's all I got. RIP aunt, she was great.

Nutmeg logs

Maybe obscure, but my mom always made them and I loved them.

Some of my favorite cookies and I live within a mile of Brocatto's on Carrollton Ave. in Mid-City. Their bag of assorted Italian cookies is so good, but they are proud of them from the sticker price on the bags.

Brocato’s is the best for gelato, ice cream and cannoli only. Not a fan of their cookies.

Homemade Italian cookies from Italian grandma. Make them every year. I make them the same way she taught me as a kid.

I really can't think of anything I've had from Brocato's that I didn't like.

My sister-in-law lives in Slidell and never gets to the city and one of the things I bring to her when heading over for a visit is to stop and pick up a few cannoli.

She's also partial to the large chocolate eclairs from Randazzo's Bakery in Chalmette=========and so am I.
