for the amount of talent and the highest paid DC this is absolutely false...top 10 you could say this but top 30?

Considering the putrid dog turd that O once again trotted out on offense lead by the best OC in the nation who hasn’t implemented an offense in over 20 years, but hey, he spent a day with the saints, I’m willing to give Aranda a pass.
I know the O sycophants aren’t though. They want him out. It’s pathetic.

Offense has been a bigger problem than the defense. This is pretty obvious to everyone but Ree.

Not having an offense that prolong drives and make a hand full of 1st downs and possible get to the red zone, makes it more difficult for defenses to have success.
I think an "A" is a bit high personally.
- A&M scoring on the last drive in regulation was really bad. It didn't really feel like a Chavis "prevent defense" because there was man to man, IIRC. But it certainly provided the same results as a Chavis "Prevent Defense"
- Sure they got throttled by Bama, but the offense didn't give any help at all, so I'll give them somewhat of a pass on that. The DL certainly looked terrible and got no pressure on Tua and the run D was awful.
- UF defense was terrible against the run. The delayed handoffs, was something they counldn't figure out.
Final thought:
The run defense has to improve. The LB's and secondary is great but the the RB's are getting into the 2nd level way too often. With CEO being a DL guy you would think there would be some more emphasis there.
We should be 11-1 and the defense has there fair share of responsibility for being 9-3. (the refs share some of that too in the A&M game)

No they didn't. Anyone with this opinion didn't watch the game.

Meh, the offense took multiple quarters off in each of those games and the defense had them in position to win both UF and A&M.
The people trying to shite on the defense are just laughable.

Our defense scores a TD to go up 7 and gives the offense the ball with two minutes left and can’t get a first down. GTFO of here.

Aren’t the three AA on defense Les recruits? Coached up by the DC and DB coach that were hired by Les? So what did you boss contribute here (other than not seemingly not meddling in the defense)?
WTF?
What does all this have to do with Aranda's grade as a DC? Sounds like a little hatred of the LSU head coach going on here.
Oh, and by the way, the two players who are predicted to be drafted in the first 10 picks this year both had Slinger listed as their recruiter on 24/7. His recruiting area includes Shreveport. He is listed as the primary recruiter for Greedy Williams and the secondary for Devin White with Frank Wilson being the primary. Kind of ironic.

As usual your arguments supporting your boss’s hiring and him in turn hiring a joke of an OC are horrible
Hard to hide your hatred huh? Only way to come to this conclusion looking at my post you replied to.

Ok, I was a bit harsh in saying they got throttled by Bama. They did score 29 on us, but LSU did contain the offense a lot better than anybody else, with no help from the offense.
To be all rainbows and unicorns about the defense is "laughable" too.
You can not look at the DL and the run defense and think everything is fine. Anybody with a decent run game gashed LSU.

No one is rainbows and unicorns about the defense. But the defense didn't lose either of those games. The offense disappearing is why we lost games this year. If the offense we got during the UGA game was what we had all year, we'd likely be undefeated. But that game was an anomaly unfortunately.

that isn't even debateable. But our defense was not as good as expected. Keep in mind, even though our offense sucked, they rarely allowed opponents short fields putting the defense at a disadvantage and our special teams helped out the defense also with field position.

defense was bad vs UF...against A&M we had a TD lead and allowed an 80+ yd TD drive to be taken to OT

Who is rainbows and unicorns about the defense? We're just pointing out the absurdity of the defensive concern expressed by a lot of you while our offense continues to languish.

And to think, all it would have taken is for O and E to pick up about four yards on our last possession to seal the win. Oh well, let's jump on Aranda and make sure he feels the pressure of our unhappiness with the defense that had given us the lead by the way.

The offense sucks but when the defense is on the field and just needs to prevent a TD it has failed 2 of our last 4 losses. Sure it doesn't mean our offense is to blame in ND game for not scoring a TD and A&M not getting a 1st down but there are tons of games every week that offenses don't get 1st downs and rely on defense to win.

Sure but if you score 19
Don’t get a first down and then throw 2 picks in a row with 2 minutes left.
Florida wasn’t a walk off win.
If You told mewould be down 19-20 with 2 minutes to go and the ball, I would have liked our chances. I liked our Chances.
Saying Florida is on the defense is basically saying, any game where we lose the lead in the 4th is on the defense regardless of what the offense does before or after we lose the lead.

Except that’s what happens EVERY week at LSU. Name one game where the offense looked so good that the defense could take half the game off like the offense does

All the offense had to do was get 1 first down. The defense had already bailed their asses out once with a score.

name one time i said the offense was good.
This is about LSU having a championship defense and in 2 out of our last 4 losses they allowed the opposing offense to tie/win the game...i'm sorry in those situations great defenses usually win the game
