I think that was 9-3 with a canceled cupcake. The problem with your comparison is that we lost three disgraceful games. That was a worse season than this one.

Losing to Arkansas 2 years in a row would do it to you. That schedule was soft compared to the current schedule.

The 2015 regular season which is what almost got Les fired they went 9-3 and got blown out by Bama Arkansas and Ole Miss and got a Texas Bowl birth and your best win was to number 25 Florida

2018 regular season you lost to Bama and on the road at top ten Florida and a tough 7OT loss at A&M and it got you a Fiesta bowl (best bowl game since 2011) and your best win was against the number 5 Georgia by 20 and had one of the toughest schedules in the country.

But yes please continue to push the narrative that those two seasons are similar. Not all records are created equal. Do they need to improve and build upon this next year? Absolutely and if they don’t go minimum 11-1 next year then I will probably be on your side.

not that I'm defending Alleva here, but those 2015 losses were all back to back and progressively got worse

Alleva was utterly spineless for not firing Miles after A&M

Damn. This screed is tired, weak, and lame.

I never called for miles' head. But, I realized that he had lost too much of the fan base and had to go (at the end...I was one of the last to give up).

Miles had made winning feeling like an arse-beating. He, then, PROMISED (his bosses) that he was going to make a change to the offense. He did not. It got him fired. Not his record itself. However, in his last two seasons and beginning of 2016 he was 10-8 in SEC games.

One cannot ignore the entirety of the facts and just look at "he averaged 9 wins" type silliness.

What's so hard to understand? Les Miles had expectations of winning a national championship. O has expectations of not losing more than 4 games a year

frickTards.with too much time on their hands.... So you dislike Allieva I'm assuming?

FWIW - EVERYONE IN THE SEC west has finished behind Bama With the exception on 3 years this decade ... And it isn't changing ... Don't care who you hire..!

It will only get worse. Even with the easier schedule next year I guarantee the ceiling is 9 regular season wins.

I hate the fact that people base season results off of what media and others expect.

So if the media keeps thinking we go 6-6, 7-5 and we turn around and go 8-4, 9-3 every year we are absolutely fricked as a fanbase.

frick that, we didn’t even compete for the west this season, that is not a good even if it “exceeded expectations.”

This is the Tiger Ree line of thinking.

If you don’t recognize the difference between the two situations, you’re not very bright
