I feel bad for Brosette.

So close to the 1k yard mark this season after so many fans wrote him off as being overrated. Still a great season for him IMO.

He should have a huge bowl game.

UCF has the 117th rushing defense out of 130. He can still get to 1000.

He dedicated himself to the program and stayed for a long time. He possesses what collegiate athletes had 15-20 years ago, loyalty.

Why feel bad?? He got a full season as the starter where he shared reps and still almost got 1,000 yards. He also probably got a degree which will serve him well in the near future.

True... and my post was sarcasm because SO MANY FANS have said this bowl game is meaningless and/or it's just an exhibition game. So if it's meaningless, then does the stats count? Yes, because it's not meaningless.
If LSU loses to UCF...Guaranteed if CEO is fired next year or whenever, someone is going to bring up the fact that he lost this bowl game.

You should never feel bad for a guy that has "Bro" in his name.

There's aren't a ton of sports admin jobs opening up, and I think we all know why players pick that major.
Nevertheless, getting a diploma is a very good thing - I'd just like to see more players in a more rigorous major, with better future job opportunities.

Fournette deserves WAY more touches than he’s been getting. Hopefully he can show out and have a good bowl game.

Non playoff games are, by definition, “meaningless.” Doesn’t mean guys don’t get practice/game reps, accumulate stats, etc. Also, the team can hit the 10 win mark, which is an outward sign of a solid season. However, the game is meaningless in the context of not being in the playoffs.

I'm happy for the kid.
He worked hard, played behind some very good players, and started his senior year. How many can say they started at LSU?

he needs about 80 yards to get to 1000. I think he'll do it. On OTB he stated he wanted 1000 yards and 10 TD. He's got 980 and 14 heading to the bowl.

He shouldn’t of fallen down before scoring a td against Arkansas. He’d be that much closer.

A lot of former players get picked up by their coaches as "player development" coaches or graduate-assistants.
If he plays it right, he will have a job making a decent wage while working his way up.
Nick is connected in BR which will help recruit local talent. Remember, we just lost a few players from Uhigh in recent years. We need to lock down BR once again

I knew saying he “should have a huge bowl game “ would get the sad sacks riled up and the down votes flowing. Nothing like a little innocuous respect for a player and optimism about an upcoming game to set off The Rant.

actually, prior to the 02 season, bowl stats didn't count toward season totals. so feel bad for Ro and that 444 yds he put up in the Sugar. or Faulk who put up 200+ in the Indy Bowl to get over 1000 as a freshman, only for people to say Fournette was the first freshman to get over 1000 (and Fournette needed the bowl to get the mark).
have I brought this up before? yep. will I again? yep.
