Fair enough. Let's assume this to be true. Why didn't we totally clean house and start from scratch then? If a true rebuild and culture change was needed, why do we have Les' DL coach, TE coach and DC leading this change?

Ask Alleva. I can't answer that. I know several players either quit or were processed for whatever reason. Maybe they didn't realize that they were going to lose those players. The defense has been ok. It's the offensive side of the ball that's suffered.

Not going to happen. I hope it does, but I think if it were going to happen the rumors would have already started.

If you're going to go out and hire a big name OC, it makes sense to do it ASAP with the early signing day approaching.

Hermann or Fisher? Last I saw they still are ranked behind LSU.

You're crazy...either of these two would have us in the playoffs this year and would have beaten Bama last year. Ed Orgeron is in over his head but gives off the false bravado like he knows what he is doing.

the three straight running plays inside the 10 in one of the ovetimes sealed ensmingers fate. especially since a&m already kicked a field goal and and would have won it

LSU 15 TAMU 17, 2 spots difference.

That's last year's rankings, 3 months after Fisher was hired. Orgeron's first full class was 15th, 8 spots lower than the year before. Fisher's first class is currently

You knew the answer and didn't post it.

Because it didn't fit your narrative.

tamu 2 LSU 5 only 3 spots between them.

I quote Dave Aranda. We have more kickers on scholarship than Linebackers.

Another lie. If you're going to use the quote, at least use the right one. He was talking about middle linebackers, not all linebackers.

This is from and the valley shook.

NOWHERE in there it says only Middle Linebackers

Amazing what a difference two years makes.

It wasn’t that long ago that LSU’s linebacker depth chart was the source of tremendous consternation. Defensive coordinator John Chavis had taken an absentee role on the recruiting trail, and it showed. At one point, current defensive coordinator Dave Aranda noted that LSU had more kickers and specialists on scholarship than it did linebackers.

Ed Orgeron and Dave Aranda were on a recruiting trip late last fall when LSU’s defensive coordinator turned to the head coach. “Do you know,” he started, “that we have more kickers on scholarship than inside linebackers?

I totally agree he should get a third year but I’m not buying into the rebuild theory. O didn’t think it was a rebuild whatsoever when he got the job, in fact he stated the exact opposite.

There is a difference between a program that is thin on depth at a certain position group and a complete rebuild.

LSU was never a complete rebuild. Rebuild actually never came up until the MSU/Troy losses last year. There was never talk of any of it prior to that at all.

Texas definitely was a rebuild, they hadn't been to a bowl game in years.

LSU has been a consistent 9-10 win team with top 10 recruiting classes and boat loads of NFL prospects this entire last decade.

Why not ask how many folks would STILL rather have Fisher or Hermann?

#1- We played Miami week 1 and A$M played Clemson. Had the roles been reversed we would not be higher ranked than A$M.
#2- Texas is playing in their conference championship with far less talent than LSU has.

Be smug about Jimbo and Herman all you want. History will prove our TJ Maxx coach is no match for either. A$M and Texas had a "hold my beer" moment with LSU in 2016 and 2017.

At this point, I would gladly accept literally anyone other than O.

He and E have killed my enthusiasm for LSU football yet again.....since Les got the ball rolling.

This program is doomed under these two guys and Aranda is not going to sit around forever waiting for these two clowns to fix what is wrong with the offense.

aTm has the 2nd ranked class with an average rating of 91.14. LSU has the 6th ranked class with an average rating of 90.89.

Do you need a calculator?
