Get him a gerbil instead.

Name it “Percival”.

If he’s not gay after a year, he’ll never be.

I had one back in high school. Was the best dog, great personality full of energy, just not the brightest of beasts. Loved being around people.

They are great dogs but can be real stubborn like most terriers. Just need to have a strong hand and make sure they are quickly socialized with any kids.

Terriers are aggressive and will bite.

Only time I was ever bitten was by a terrier and I had no interaction with the dog prior to the attack.

Would not have.

Yes. I love mine. She was a bit stubborn and took some time to train. She gets along with other animals and loves people. Just make sure to walk it or give some time to play outside for awhile or it will go nuts if cooped up.

As others have stated they are loyal and friendly animals. They do have a lot of energy so you and your son will need to invest time in properly exercising him. When i say you i mean it. Dont expect your soon to do the heavy lifting.

Also remember, this isnt a christmas time toy. This is an addition to your family. This animal will rely and trust you to care for it when you bring it home. If this is something your son will tire with in a few months probably not the best idea.
