Weather supposed to be horrible in Pullman tonight. Lot of sharp money on Wash too.

This is the reason some often shy away from rivalry games. And it's the same reason that I actually love playing rivalry games.
You know both teams are coming to play, so you can toss any "situational analysis" out the window as being irrelevant. Which focuses the analysis to "who is better at football, and how much better are we talking here."
I believe the notion that rivalry games tend to produce upsets is a myth and that if someone took the time and energy to actually crunch those numbers -- something which I will not be doing, to be clear -- I would be willing to wager that upset rates in games that we can predefine and set-aside as "rivalry games' are less than the average rate of occurrence across the board.
Hmmm...I wonder if somebody ever has done such an analysis?
You would need an objective definition of rivalry game. Iron Bowl and Egg Bowl would be rivalry games. But does LSU vs TAMU count? What about LSU vs Florida? The Land Grant Trophy? How big a deal is Tennessee-Kentucky?

Usually one of two ways.
One is having access to betting data. If the number of bets is heavily on one team but the money is heavily on the other, it means the high dollar bettors are fading the public.
Other way is if you know most bets are on one team but the line is moving in the opposite direction. That indicates the money is heavier on the other team, even if you don't have the exact percentage.

I actually like these two. Before I even checked this thread I decided to go with both of these and I am looking for one more game to parley.

I have been back and forth with Virginia. It’s been moving so much though that I decided to stay off.
Other plays I’m looking at are:
Rice +7.5
Utah State +2.5
New Mexico State +7.5
Baylor +5
Tennessee +3.5
I also just bought the Tiger/Phil match and put $50 on Tiger for some fun

Nice. What's the payoff if you win?

Go big or go home. Got a large (9 Team) ML parlay play myself along with a mixed bag made earlier in the week. Been too busy to post.
