I think you’re underestimating how much the media love them some Pat Mahomes. He’s more exciting to watch and that’s all people care about. Efficiency by itself isn’t flashy.

Mahomes just lost it. All these stats are meaningless if you can’t win these kinds of games. It would be one thing if the D gave it up. This ones on him.

that’s not how it work man. They are not gonna look at 1 game against a common opponent and say well Mahomes had 4 turnovers that’s it’s I’m voting for Brees. They will look at the body of work Now Brees has 1 pick all year if he finishes with a record low number (no idea what that is, let’s say 5) that will work in Brees favor especially with a record completion percentage.
But one sloppy game, especially one where he could go over 500 yds and has 6 TDs won’t cost him

I get your point, but your view isn't really "how it works" either. One performance cab shift the media narrative. All things being equal for the remainder of the season and Mahomes could easily win it.
