I didn't even see one person on the board or in person say that they didn't want Emery to go to LSU. So yea, it's pretty funny.

Because you don't pay attention

Emery done hitched his horse to UGA and Cain is a better back anyway...

If we have to beg recruits that are from Louisiana, and they don't have pride in our state, and even sell us out for our rivals, then I don't want them.

frick him. We want guys that want to be here. We need to keep the rb we have, who is really good, and get Noah cain. frick emery.

A high school coach in the area said he's really over-hyped and not that special. So I don't think this is a huge loss for LSU.

Leonard Fournette's junior highlights are probably the best I've ever seen. LINK

WOW. First time I've seen his highlights and I'm blown away. Have any of you guys seen any better from a running back?

Leonard Fournette. Defenders could not catch him even when they had steps on him. I see some of that in this video.

It's funny how many people didn't want him when he was committed to UGA.

frick all that. Just like Etienne - I thought we made a mistake by chasing Akers too long. The best RB in Louisiana should be at LSU - every year.

The shots of him picking up those blocks were awesome. He takes some long strides. Doesn't look like he's going super fast but he's actually outrunning everybody. Glad to have him on board.

he reminds me of guys like Kamara, Kerryon Johnson, and Aaron Jones.. doesnt have the elite top end speed.. but gets up to his top speed very very quickly.

LeVeon Bell
Run, catch, block.
Patient.
Not the fastest but hardly gets caught.

LF7 and Guice both had better film, and what I saw of Cam Akers' film was otherworldly. But that's two backs that became Heisman finalists and another that is stuck at a crappy FSU

Neither Fournette nor Guice were Heisman finalists. They were in the Heisman talk early, but the last time an LSU player was in NY as a Heisman candidate was TM7.

The run at 1:10 is insane. Anyone saying this kid is slow needs their brains examined haha

He makes breaking tackles look so easy.

First thing I notice is his forward body lean running style and ball protection (how he carries the ball is never lazily out in his hand like he's show boating which can develop bad habits)

2nd is he has great balance, he's hard to bring down and he seems to accelerate quickly off of contact making it hard to swarm him.

3rd, in this series of highlights, he doesn't seems to put his full speed on display except for one run at 0:55 after he stumbles a little off a missed tackle and at the 1:11 mark of the highlights. In the 1:11 run he shifts down a gear at about the 15 yard line. This shows he has break away speed at his disposal if he needs it, but can glide around the field at less than full speed faster than just about anybody out there.

No wander he's a 5*, and glad he's a Fighting Tiger!!!!

That's what I've been screaming. He clearly lets up to save energy after that burst, but that burst demonstrates elite speed.

I can’t think of any LSU RBs that he compares well with. One recent RB he reminds me of is Nick Chubb.. Emery has better size, but we’ll see how he is at breaking tackles at this level.

He is a long strider and that gives the impression to some that he is slow. You usually see those type of runners at Wide Reciever. He is far from slow. Long strider like Jeremy Hill and like another said in this thread, Robert Smith. I would love to see him return kickoffs because he has the perfect running style and vision for kickoffs.
