I remember when I was a kid all the other kids hated going to dads house (my parents aren’t divorced) because the dads always lived in a shitty one bedroom apartment and didn’t have cool video games

In all seriousness, the best advice I can give you is to NEVER forget that woman you once loved is now the biggest enemy you'll ever have. To put it simple, you're in a business negotiation with a rival business than would like nothing better than to see you go out of business and it be her that put you out of business.
It's all out war, give no quarter and expect none because you're not going to get it.
Also, NEVER demonize her in front of the children. If she's a bitch they'll figure it out.
Learned every bit of that from getting my arse skint up worse than a crotch rocket crash on I10 with nothing by jorts and a wife beater on.

Run through as much hot young tail as you can. Get fit and fit it in. Sow your oats.
Don’t frick married chicks, tempting as it may be. It ends badly. Even if they say they are separated.
Protect your assets, find a hobby. Don’t incriminate yourself on social media.
If there are kids involved try to keep it amicable. That’s their mom. Respect her for that. It makes it easier in the long run.
ETA: since you said dads I guess kids are involved. Just give them all your love and attention when you have them. Make sure they know they are #1 in daddy’s heart. Don’t bring chicks over when they are there

First off, get a good attorney. Do not skimp on this.
Just because you're a guy doesn't mean you roll over and die. Keep track of everything she does and ensure that your custody agreement goes into great detail. She will break it and you can haul her arse back on contempt.
That's what I did. I fought back and got the house, child support reduced by half, and got more time with the kids. This bullshite, because she's a woman, doesn't make her more powerful in the courts. The reason why dad always loses because dad doesn't fight and I've heard this plenty by others. A couple women I dated said their ex husbands didn't bother to hire an attorney. Be a man, fight for your kids.
