If my seamstress ever had the audacity to empty my tin of imported Scottish shortbread reindeer biscuits for her sewing kit, I’d go berserk!

Those things made great storage canisters

My mom kept dog biscuits in one of those and a buddy of mine in elementary school ate like 1.5 dog treats before he noticed when he was spending the night over at my house.

I used to give my sons dog biscuits when they were teething, no big deal

the tin of butter cookies was one of those things that was delightful when someone had them but they couldnt tell you where they got them. Most people bought them from kids selling cookies for school or club fundraising. When we got older it was a great day when you first realized they sold the real deal butter cookies at CVS and Walgreens

We had a girl on my street with an overzealous mother.
Every year we had to buy these cookies, girl scout cookies, and Christmas greenery. All for school fundraising so her kid could look like an overachiever.

My grandmother always had those around the house. Unfortunately they were usually fillled with greeting cards, stationary, etc. However that never stopped me from checking every time. Equally as disappointing was opening the cool whip container only to find leftover green bean casserole.
