For LSU? Year after f ing year. We are right back to a predictable non-threatening offense again. I know the OL is weak, but this same shite has been going on since 2009.

My opinion? We need new blood offensive minds. I feel we got that with Canada. We felt uncomfortable because it was an unknown thing and we fired him. True he was a bit of a loose cannon but we could have at least tried to work things out better than we did. Just my two cents.

Orgeron never wanted Canada. He wanted to hire Ensminger the entire time but he couldn't justify it after he said he was going to get the best OC in the country. So, he hired Canada and then continually interfered so he could have justification to fire him. He seems to be surrounding himself with coaches that can't be a threat to him. Aranda being the only exception but he knew he couldn't get rid of Aranda or people would absolutely riot.

I get what you're saying but I'm gonna still hold out hope that O isn't this dysfunctional. He didn't do himself a favor by saying that he was in charge dammit. I'll admit that.

As I will, but he better get this offense fixed and fixed quickly or it will be his death sentence. As the OP said I'm sick of this shite, period and I'm a Coach O supporter! One year with Mett and that is it!

LSU has a highly conservative mindset.

You can win by playing it safe. Run, play defense, win field position...

QB’s are told not to mistakes: don’t throw into coverage; don’t throw into zone; don’t make mistakes; don’t throw interceptions...

When you’re coached safe all year, it’s hard to suddenly cut it loose and throw into tiny windows you get from ‘Bama / elite defensive teams.

Any team that can run zone apparently causes issues, actually.

My opinion, and it's not a popular one. But you have to burn the whole mother fricker down. You can't promote from within, you have to bring in a completely new coaching staff from top to bottom. Otherwise, you have people left that are from the previous staff who are accustomed to doing things the way the previous staff did them. You have to start over. Drain the swamp. The risk you take, is the whole thing goes Tenessee or Florida on you, and you end up like them. LSU has been on their level for years, but just hasn't had the dumpster fire of coaching changes and other program issue's they've had.

Canada ? Really ? He's a terrible OC, I couldn't stand the amount of motions he did pre-snap because it never fooled anybody. Maybe in the Big 10 it does? But he had a few good (fluke) offensive seasons, and since then, nothing. Look at Maryland's offense this year, not that great.
I never liked the Canada hire to begin with. A start will be getting this O-line up to par. Now if the only team we have to beat, so people get out of melt down mode is Alabama. Then obviously our game plan has to change for Alabama every year, onside kicks 4-5 of them if you are going to lose anyway, spreading the field, more trick plays. You have to do some trickery since they are a more physical team, just outsmart them. Alabama has beaten everyone, we're in the club. But this is still a damn strong LSU football team. I'm proud of them, and if any team can work on their short comings and improve. It's this team.

You do realize that we have the same offensive minds running our offense that were here under the Miles tenure right? Except now, we dont have an elite back and an obvious downgrade at O line.

LSU football is soon to be rebuilding. Need to finish off the Miles payments so we can go get an offensive minded coach with long term potential.

See, I don’t think we need a total rebuild. I think we need an offensive Aranda. O has shown that he can stay out of aranda’s way. He has also shown he can motivate the team. You give o the dinardo/tepper ultimatum: make the change or you’re gone.

I think if we clean house we end up like uf or Tennessee.

I've heard this from several buddies. They feel that Orgeron is terribly insecure and doesn't want to hire any coaches who might be perceived as being better/smarter than him, or end up replacing him. He can't do anything about Aranda, although I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to shift the blame to the defense in order to deflect criticism of Ensminger and the dumpster fire offense.

you got that part right

So, he hired Canada and then continually interfered so he could have justification to fire him.

that doesn't seem to be true. He told him before the Troy game not to do the pre snap motion with the oline due to two freshman starting. Other than that I haven't heard about any interference. Canada just seemed to be somewhat of a thin skinned arse and could not get along with the rest of the staff or Orgeron. Seems that was the reason he was fired.

I know you don't like Ensminger and really like Aranda, but you dont't like the rest of the staff either? Seems to me he has a pretty good staff, whether they are a so called threat to him is not even relevant. Is there a particular position coach that you think he should of hired but didn't because they would be a threat to him? Like who are you talking about?

can you provide some examples of him doing this or is this just something you thought would sound good or logical in your obviously limited mental capacities?

This isn't just about Alabama. Our offense has been pretty bad all year.

why do you keep starting threads that basically all say the same thing? You don't like coach O or Ensminger. There are plenty of other threads you can post this in, many of which you have started yourself. It is just the same shite day after day from you.
