Need to finish off the Miles payments so we can go get an offensive minded coach with long term potential.
This is the only logical explanation I can come up with as to why we don't go after a top OC. As sucky as that is, it's the best situation. Any other reason is too terrible to think about.

Thanks for clearing that up. It isn't often someone comes in here after having extensive conversations with Orgeron and tells us what was discussed.

Your many personal one on one talks with him shed an entire new light.

Thank you so much.

See, I don’t think we need a total rebuild. I think we need an offensive Aranda. O has shown that he can stay out of aranda’s way. He has also shown he can motivate the team. You give o the dinardo/tepper ultimatum: make the change or you’re gone.

O fired Canada. Canada had us in at 44th offensively running roughly 40% of his offense with a mediocre QB (I am an Etling fan too, btw). That is enough to tell me that O can not get out of his own way. He is what he is. I dont dislike the guy, but lets face it. He fired a guy who is an offensive coordinator who specialized in designing an offense to mask weaknesses and it worked. Imagine what he could do with a QB like Burrow?

Nail on the head!Coach O wants "Yes men" around him. He knows Aranda & Raymond are untouchable when it comes to LSU fans.

can you provide some examples of him doing this or is this just something you thought would sound good or logical in your obviously limited mental capacities?

Ah...another Orgeron sychophant. Well, let's see. The first thing he did after the Bama game was blame the players and praise Ensminger. He later retracted that statement somewhat and admitted that we need to be more creative on offense, but stated he thinks that Ensminger is doing a great job.

The point is not just about Alabama. But thanks for playing.

Especially in the red zone. There's a reason why LSU has just as many field goals as they do touchdowns when they get inside the 20. 0 rather keep it safe, run the ball, and kick the field goal rather than score tds.

Hey, Willie.... all threads are optional. I would suggest you be a bit more selective.

Just like against ND In the bowl game last year. Fourth and goal at the one foot line and he kicks the FG.

Canada ? Really ? He's a terrible OC, I couldn't stand the amount of motions he did pre-snap because it never fooled anybody. Maybe in the Big 10 it does? But he had a few good (fluke) offensive seasons, and since then, nothing. Look at Maryland's offense this year, not that great.
I agree with you. A bunch of whiny arse never satisfied people here on this board. Most are too young to have seen BAD. I will take a 10-2 team with the schedule we had this season. No one gave this team or coaching staff a shot at any success this year. This is also E's first year to do things his way, give him time. Never gonna have what Bama has this season on Offense but hell no one does. They have probably the best team they've ever fielded and there have been some good ones. That being said, I have and will continue to support the players and staff.

It is the hidebound approach to offense since CLM was here. 0 is obsessively risk averse especially concerning things that tax his understanding-think offense. I think Canada would have made this group a MUCH better offense with a 5-10 point average increase.

I suspect that 0's insecurity led him to be really heavy handed with Canada and what he would and would not permit him to do with the offense, again due to ignorance. This is confirmed by who he got to run the offense. We have all seen the results.

Does 0 understand the problem he has created? I do not know, but if he doesn't we will see the same thing next year. It's hard to fathom that JB has only 6 TD passes today. 6!

Seems OTHER teams have been able to score SOME points on Alabama.
