OT Advice needed - Wife, mother in law, hospital stay

So my wife had a hysterectomy this morning at 0700. I have been at the hospital since 0530. My mother in law just got here and my wife is telling to go home but she’s also drugged up. My mother in law is from it of town so she’s here specifically for my wife for the next week so I can work. Should I go home and come back tomorrow or are husbands the ones that should stay?

The important thing is that she isn't alone. If you have stuff to do, go do it.

Go home, rest. Come back this afternoon/evening for a bit. Go home, sleep, and then go to work tomorrow. Y'all apparently made plans for MiL to be there to help. Use those plans.

Go home catch a fap and nap then bring some grub up to the hospital later on for you, the MIL and your wife if needed.

You dumb... Many reasons for hysterectomy and they are rarely just for birth control.

Was in exact position about 10 years ago. I went home and rested while MIL was with her and I worked until she got out of hospital. I then took FMLA to care for her at home until she was good to go.

She’s telling me to go home. My MIL is from out of town so has no car.
