Heard about this yesterday , didn’t hear anything about this being related to the game. It seems very odd that 2 guys would jump 1 guy in a bar and got to the point that they killed him
And no one stopped it.

I remember when Ponchatoula was a nice little town.

Agree with Arden Wells going after Larryson, he's going HAM on this. Dude speaks the truth even though he's a tad bit touched.
Nothing at all. I've lived here for a decade and it's not a bad town at all. Ponchatoula Pub, on the other hand, is a shithole. There have always been problems with the place and it's sad to say a matter of time something as tragic as this would happen.

I haven't gotten the whole story from anyone who was there yet.
But it wasnt a "were gonna walk up to this guy and pummel him because he is a bama fan"
There is a story floating around about the niece of the guy who got beat up trying to buy drinks for someone and they started arguing.

I’m sure he was a student and not some meth head north shore towny that jumped on the bama bandwagon a few years ago.

If he got knocked off a barstool and hit his head, may not have taken much more time if the kicked / hit his head a few time real quick to cause more bleeding.
I never understood some of these fights people get in, all it takes is somebody to fall wrong for the situation to go well beyond what anybody intended.
These two dudes apparently both have young kids at home - I can't imagine exposing yourself to that kind of risk with a young family.

quote:. If they walked and tapped on the shoulder like has been stated. Both of these guys should be charged with premeditated murder and shot in the head and fed to the gators.
mean, this seems unlikely in a place like Ponchy. Besides, wouldn't that be murder?

You're thinking like a rational, intelligent individual. That's a rare quality for some areas.

Exactly. I've never heard of any trouble at Stray Cats for instance and it's around the corner from the police station. Yet every couple months or so you'll hear of an incident at Ponchatoula Pub. I don't know the truth behind it but Arden Wells accused Bry Larryson of being drunk in the bathroom there, passing out against the door.
My ex-wife and I went there one time a while back. We were probably the oldest people there and we were in our early 30s. Most of the crowd was college age. I found it amusing how there were all these different beers on tap and everyone else is drinking Bud Light out of aluminum bottles.

Definitely not our crowd there anymore.
I went a few years ago with a group of people after a party. Wall to Wall d-bags looking for trouble playing super loud shitty rap music

Really? When was that? 1930?
It wasn't bad in the 80's when I visited relatives there on weekends and summers.

One of the guys got married on that day and they were at Ponchy Pub after the wedding.
So he got married just to go to jail for awhile the same day.
I bet that chick is a real looker.

He was wearing a Bama sweat shirt. But the stories I read said that his being a Bama fan had nothing to do with the altercation. Regardless, it was a fight that did not end well for him or the others involved. I am not sure where the people involved were from.

Full of rednecks waiting for a fight?

I'm used to this happening in NFL stadiums each week but now it's happening to college fans. Lock them up!
