You didn't see the thread that was well over 10 pages that was about the Oline?

So the offense is fine regardless? there would be 0 improvement with a better OC? Wouldn't the lack of talent and depth make it that much more important to bring in a better OC?

it’s not because the OC isn’t creative..

what evidence do you have for Ensminger being a good OC?

His best season as an OC was using someone else's playbook and even then it was pretty much all Guice going HAM. He had no answer against good defenses.

For those of us that didn’t, why don’t you (for once) just answer a question without referencing another thread? What’s wrong with the offense and how do you think we should fix it?

And before you put any words in my mouth, I personally don’t have any idea how you fix it. I don’t want to hire yet another offensive coordinator and start a new scheme from scratch AGAIN, but zero points in two games against the best team we play is as disturbing as it gets. We can’t trot out the same offense we did Saturday and ever hope to be truly elite.

The play calling is different. LSU tried to pass a whole lot during the Bama game. When your QB does not have time to get past his first read and your RB's are being hit behind the line of scrimmage a different OC won't make much difference.

Also to the idiot OP. Coach Eaux said he would get the OC available before he got Canada. It didn't work. Do you expect him to continue doing the same thing over and over just because he said he would do it even though it didn't work?

He won't because of what it implies.

Having lack of talent and depth at oline is all the more reason to bring in someone who can try to offset that. We know it, he knows it. He is proving the opposite of what he thinks he's proving.

What are you saying? Because he didn't get along with Canada, that means we should not try to get the best OC available?

I know you know O is smarter than that. You don't give him enough credit.

Links own thread

Makes same points

This offense is beyond bad OL play. Passing more didn’t make us less predictable.

I disagree. One would think a good OC could scheme around this. Seems anything that worked Saturday night involved quick throws—one read. And the play action wasn’t working at all. Again, I’d think a good OC would recognize that, and not keep trying it.

Yes. Know what you have and adjust over the two weeks. Shotgun, roll outs, keep throwing wide even if you’re only getting a couple yards

Except it made a difference in literally every other game Bama has played in this year. Every other team has put up points on them.

Before you even say it, STOP!

They were not all in “garbage time after Bama was up big”. Missouri 13-10 at half. Tennessee scored 14 before the half. Arkansas scored 14 before the half. A&M scored 14 before the half.

This is twice an Ensminger led LSU offense has been shut out by Bama.

There is no excuse for that.

A good OC can scheme around that.

When did all the OL transfer / get kicked off the team, again?

Anyone? Anyone...?

O was under heavy pressure to win and couldn’t afford another Canada situation. Ensminger has his trust and cohesiveness with the rest of staff. He also was serviceable as interim OC. Ensminger was the safe pick and as bad as the offense has been overall it is light years better n the red zone. Because of the K ST’s as a whole were 7th n the country. O proved he can win. But if he wants to win a championship Ensminger will have to step down and move back to TE coach. Get a young Offensive mind in to install a new offense and convince Aranda to stay for a few more years

Are you being paid by LSU or O or Alleva? A hot shot OC doesn't work because O starts meddling with the offense a few games into the season and the two butt heads. So, O's plan changes 180 degrees to go with a guy out of the OC business 20 years? I am shocked that game plan has us almost at the bottom of the SEC and with worse stats than Canada produced.

You do understand that not all teams have great OLs but they still find ways to score on good teams. Like Arkansas, Texas A&M, and ever other team on the Alabama schedule.

You are being paid by someone to post the BS you do or you are clueless about football.

It is as though he is tone deaf to what is happening. Maybe they have some information about the team which, were we privy to it, would assuage our fears, but that seems unlikely. If they drop one more game this year, I really think that 0 should be fired.

I understand that that may a minority opinion, but unless we are ready to concede that winning the SEC West is not important, then the sooner we make necessary changes the better off the program will be.

Esminger is clearly not the best out there. So I guess that could be deemed as a lie.
