1. We are running an offense that is not compatible with the Offensive Line talent

2. RBs are just not good. No one on this roster at the RB position is a starting caliber RB. They are complimentary backs.

3. The 3-4 is not working out. Aranda is the only thing working well for LSU at this point, so I’ll lay off here. We do not have the defensive line talent to run a 3-4 base in the SEC. they show flashes, but that’s it. Miss St, Auburn, Florida, Alabama.. somehow they do.. which leads me to my next point

4. Recruiting. For years we have been fooled by recruiting rankings and classes with (6) DBs in the upper 4* and 5* ranking. Combo that is with (2-3) 4* or 5* RBs, and your class is inflated by 2 positions. The offensive line and defensive line has been a joke.

Who’s been responsible for that? Who’s been the defensive line coach for 2 years prior to Miles getting canned? Who was the recruiting coordinator?

LSU either needs to change their recruiting philosophy, or change their scheme that can properly hide their deficiencies. Miss st can. Arkansas has in the past.

Rant over

What exactly are you expecting out of a DL in that scheme?

Our RB's are better than you're giving credit. If we had an o-line they'd look even better. I can't disagree with your other points at all. Offense is a shite-show vs good defenses.

LSU fans invest way too much emotion into the Bama game.

1. Alleva should be tarred, feathered, and run out of town. (If not publically executed)

2. O should be fired at the end of the season.

3. E and half the offensive staff should be placed in a nursing home.

for your information O was only the recruiting coordinator for a short period of time AND our DLine was one of the worst in the SEC when he arrived.

Orgeron has greatly improved the talent and coaching at DL and is continuing to do so. our DL played good enough to win last night.

now OL recruiting is a complete different story. it looks to me that O is making progress in the recruiting there but OL is not a position that can be drastically elevated overnight. MOST Olinemen that a couple of years to develop; yes, you can hide one freshman on the line but not often.

Agree with everything except the point about the RB’s. They may not be All-SEC caliber but Bossette and Clyde could play for a lot of teams in this league.

Most on here can’t handle the truth. They make excuses to avoid the truth.

The truth is we got beat by the best team in college football and that team has beaten us 8 straight times because they been better than us those many times. That’s the truth!

Here's a fun one.

In the last 8 quarters of LSU vs Bama in Tiger Stadium, the score is 39-0. Ouch!

Georgia had a really bad game in TS. They beat themselves that game.

2015 and 2016 were Miles kids as was Deculus and Ingram from 2017. Only Charles was an O recruit and he only came because Tenn was a shite show. Exactly how did Orgeron improve things? Ed Ingram is missed the most of any player on this team.

Brumfield was a 2014 4*.

2015 - 1- 5* Theuma; 2- 4*Weathersby, Okeke; 2- 3* Magee, Brown
2016 - 2 - 4* Campbell; Allen; Roddy, Savage: 1 - 3* Cush
2017 - 3 - 4* Deculus, Ingram, Charles; 1 - 3* Stewart
2018 - 4 - 4* Hines, Traore, Rosenthal; 4 - 3* - Wire, Smith, Livingston, Lewis ...

In order to beat Alabama you have to have at least one of the following
A. An extremely accurate QB that can make intermediate distance crossing route passes and back shoulder throws on the sidelines routinely.

You must have a very, very, very fast back in the image of Kamara and be able to use him as the saints do.

You must have a offensive line that can at least hold enough to give these pass routes time to develop.

B. You must have a running Q. B. that can also throw the ball with some degree of accuracy.

You need star receivers that can find holes coverage to go with this offense. When the defense has to play a running QB, they play zone to keep him in front of them. The receivers must run precise routes.

You must have an offensive line that can competently block.

Was it me, or did anyone notice all the arm tackling and not wrapping up by our D? Also, the guys who did rarely make it behind Bama's O line, over pursued and let the ball carrier run right by them? I've noticed these two issues consistently throughout the season.
