That's a good list.

I'm glad he left Commanders Palace off (it's the first time I can recall him doing so). Place is in dire need of a kick in the arse right about now.

I was there for a meeting abou two ears ago, and was not particularly happy with it. It was business, so I didn’t complain; but wanted to.

Bayona? WAY overrated.

Wife and I went there ONCE to see what all the hype was about.

Pretty good (not great) food served in frou-frou little portions on plates. The kind of stuff you see as cliché when they make fun of high-end restaurants.

We HAD to order dessert because there was so little food (and we had ordered appetizers. soup/salad, entrée) and we were STILL hungry and went out for beignets and café au lait afterwards.

Never again.

I actually like Maypop a good bit but wouldn't put it in the top 10.

I think Paladar 511 is pretty deserving actually.

I'll never understand the appeal of Bayona personally. Never had a meal there that made me think "Wow, this is great."

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that no Besh or Shaya affiliated restaurant made the list for the second straight year

I like Commanders but haven’t been in the last year or so.

I’ve had Maypop once and it was fricking awful. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing.

I just ate at Brigsten’s and was not impressed at all.

Peche is still my favorite.

It's subjective at the end of the day. I have been underwhelmed but content with paladar twice, had commander's saturday and left thinking they're still as good as ever. Would have Mr. John's pretty high on this list and Brennan's no where near it.

I have not been to Brennan's in many years, especially not since Rushing took over as Chef. I have heard that it is on point since he took over but I have no idea.

the 'new' Brennan's is definitely a top 10 restaurant in town.

Leaving August off really does diminish the credibility of the list. Have never left that place disappointed.

Bayona hasn't been a Top 10 restaurant since pre-Katrina.
I'd add La Petite Grocery, that place never disappoints.
Mr. John's or Doris Metropolitan in the running.

It really strikes me as an odd list. They should have left the politics out and included places like August, Shaya and Saba.

Bayona has no business being anywhere near this list anymore.

NOT Top 10

It's not as established or traditional. However if I weigh my two last meals at Maypop and Herbsaint then Maypop wins out by a mile. In fact out of the Top 10 listed I've eaten at (6) Herbsaint has been the least impressive in my opinion.
