Trump isn’t on the ballot so you’re not campaigning for anyone.

Just wear a plain red hat. Or a red hat with the white M on it like Super Mario.

Dems do shite like this all the time. A few years ago, Cedric Richmond showed up at the polls with a camera crew to vote for himself with a campaign tee shirt on.

If you can wear a pair of jeans with Levi's or Wrangler on them, why not a cap with MAGA?

In 2016 I wore a blue shirt without thinking. I won't make that mistake again. This time, I'm gonna get a fresh haircut, a new pair of red new balance shoes and a red shirt to help bring in the Red Wave.

Several years ago I showed up to vote and I had a Bush/Cheney sticker on my shirt. A coworker was passing them out at work and I forgot I had it.

While standing in line a poll worker lady came up and in a very serious and almost disturbing tone told me I couldn’t have that sticker on this close to the polling booths.

There’s a law against political ads within a certain distance to the voting area.

Speaking of this, where can I get an official MAGA hat? I don't want none of that Chinese knock off bs, where can I get one that supports the cause?

That’s why I started this thread...

Is that not the dumbest thing you've ever seen - people sitting by signs 200 feet or whatever from the door with damn campaign signs, like no one has made up their mind yet on how they are going to vote.

I’m an election judge in Minnesota. This question came up in refresher training.

Yes, you can wear a MAGA hat. That is political.

You can not wear a “Trump” hat. That is campaigning.

Not black and white. Kind of like soft money issue ads vs. ads where the candidate says “I’m Joe Blow and I approved this message”.

ETA: Of course, I can only speak for Minnesota.

On my phone, so disinclined to go into detail, but the line between protected political speech and electioneering is currently very much in question: LINK

It will be interesting to see if SCOTUS takes a more firm stance in the future.

Trump isnt running. How is that campaigning?

If someone wore an Obama hat would that be campaigning?

Wear one... All they can do is tell you to remove it or turn it inside out or whatever...

My friend and her kid wore I’m with Her shirts last election. Of course I live in Ca where that’s ok. I don’t tell too many people out here that who I vote for. I need to keep my job.
