because he has pitched this late into games maybe three or four times all year and just had a horrible at bat where he walked a batter and was nowhere near the strikezone and we had a 4 run lead

And then he struck out a guy and he was working on a 1 hitter with 90 pitches

I guarantee you the fricking analytics would show when rich hill has 90 pitches and only 1 hit given up coming off a strikeout, you should leave him in. Seriously

EVERY SINGLE dodger relief pitcher vomited on himself tonight

I've been so keyed up, I haven't even looked at pitch location to see if they were just tossing BP, or if they were executing pitches and Sox were just doing what they do.

they would actually tell you he should have been taken out in the 6th and not the 7th

They say that when he only has 1 hot given up? And under 90 pitches?

The mistake wasn’t pulling hill after the walk, the mistake was letting him start the inning. He never goes that deep into a game. He doesn’t have overpowering stuff, he nibbles, and hitters adjust the third time around.

Alexander’s pathetic appearance got this shitfest started.

yes. because they will tell you there is a much stronger link between how many times you face a lineup and your overall performance over how many pitches you throw. the 90 pitches isnt the number that matters, the third time through the lineup is what matters

and rich doesnt even throw 90 pitches very often to begin with

The answer is Dave Roberts

Dodgers finally made Rodriguez pay

Red Sox never touched Hill

But they maimed, crippled, and emasculated Dave Roberts. LOL

He is executing pitches and they aren't swinging, that I guarantee is their plan with this ump and it should be. frick this ump for the first AB, he had to keep moving middle.
