D. White might want to consider seeking injunctive relief:

LINK / Not sure why he'd be prohibited from exploring this legal remedy? Not being allowed to play 50% of the biggest game in his short college career would seemingly damage him irreparably; and, this suspension is solely being based on a largely subjective interpretation of an exclusively objective rules violation. He is also being deprived of any appeals process. I hope he gives this legal option some strong consideration! Paging Mr Jackson, Mr Don Jackson...

I just stopped right here. Missing 30 minutes of game action is going to erase 3 years of film?

This. Injury would be tough to prove.

We need an injunction against your posts.

Set aside that thought for a minute, which is very rational.
What if he filed it say at 3 PM next Friay before a friendly federal judge who granted it. The SEC would have no time to respond so the injunction is in place.
Would LSU run any risk by playing Devin in the first half?
Could the SEC vacate an LSU win if that occurred if the injunction was overturned the following week?
Most of the national sentiment seems to be with White or at least against Alabama privelege. Any such action by the league to set aside the injunction would not be good optics.
By not seeking to overturn the league could get out of a non winnable PR position if they just leave it in the hands of the court.

Would it though? Look at what the Bama game to LF.
Being able to excel in this game is different than excelling in any other game. Alabama is, and is seen to be THE test, no?

He went 4th overall.

I would freaking love it if he got legal representation and sued the SEC offices.
He could have wipe the floor with that QB, instead he pulled back and barely hits him with his hands. Only one person in America thought it was targeting. Well, him and the Bama grad reviewing the film.

Maybe White has accepted the ruling and is ok with it?

What exactly did it do to him? Last I checked he was still a top 5 draft pick.

The problem with this whole mess is that these calls are SUBJECTIVE to the refs view so there should be an appeal/review process when something is subjective and can be harmful to the recipient as well as the school.
Diff between a win and a loss can be millions of dollars for each one.

Ever take a looka t dome of the court filings for injunctive relief? Many of them have no grounding in reality but if they can get before a court sympathetic totheir cause hey at least get temporary injuncitve relief. Thats all that is needed here.

I agree. Theres no need to have calls go to a 3rd party unless they have implications on the next game.
This is bullshite and unfair.
If it were a huge brawl, the office would dissect the film the next week and hand out penalties, or remove penalties from uninvolved players.

No. He can and will still get first round money. Because he doesn't get paid it would be impossible to prove actual (or even incidental) damages.
Hell, even guys who sit out half the season still get first round money.
IF (big if) there were any kind of suit, the university would have to bring it.
