Nationalism? Damn straight

Let's realize that we are the youngest first world country on the planet. Every other country on the planet depends on us for something if they need it. They rely on us for guidance in what affects this planet more than any other country that has been here for centuries. Think about that. Why is that?
Because, we have accomplished something in approximately 250 years that other countries couldn't in hundreds of years. There are some countries that survive and maintain their way of life but almost all of them can't maintain that survivability without help. If it is not economical help then it's military help. We are normally looked to first in assistance with both of those entities.
Why am I a nationalist? Because I would like to keep this country as the leader of the world and by doing that you don't let your neighbors move into your house and give them a sayso on how your house will be run now that you have let them in. We all need neighbors to survive in life but we don't need nosey neighbors. If you need or want to depend on me, then I get to make the rules. It's as simple as that.
I don't want to be like other countries. My country is just fine the way it is. No doubt it can be better but let me decide the best way to do it. I don't need failed countries telling me how to fix things. We don't mind correcting our own problems. We actually take pride in doing so. It's the American spirit.

Just put your tin foil hat back on. The voices will stop.
None of the rest of us have foreign countries telling us what to do.

That’s not what the moniker “nationalist” really means.

Hmm I think he was using the term in the context of the definition...
Google dictionary:
a person who advocates political independence for a country.
"a Scottish nationalist"
Yeah them Scottish are real troublemaking nazis

So what self identifying group is he advocating form an independent country?
That isn’t what he means. America is already a nation free of foreign rule. Clearly we are in a different concept here.

You are a fricking obtuse idiot.

This doesn't mean we can't continue to advocate for our own political independence and sovereignty on the global stage, you impudent, incorrigible, anti-American cretin.
I truly hate your ilk.

does trump care what they say?
Bolton would just as soon abolish it.

I reject the premise that nationalism is morally wrong.
That is a mythical creation of leftist propagandists.

Is this what you are talking about?

I’m not going to argue with your “rah rah” stuff, but that’s probably not all that accurate. I’d look at systems of government rather than traditional country names.
Our constitution has quite a number of years on many of Europe’s most powerful nations' current governments.

Boom.
The average liberal like Tboy and Celtic don't see "nationalism" as anything other than a buzzword that their media handlers have told them is interchangeable with "Nazism."
If the definition hadn't already been posted in this thread I guarantee neither could define it accurately- or at least define it within the proper context as it's used here.

Being proud of America is not nationalism. It’s garden variety patriotism. Nationalism within an already sovereign nation does involve the promotion of some sud-identity as a kind of nationality, such as a racial or cultural identity.
In as much as the OP was misusing the term nationalism in place of ordinary patriotism, that isn’t what the term nationalism means.

I get it. Being an idiot must be very frustrating for you. Just take you medicine and one day you may integrate into society.
