I think about the same question all the time. The older I get the more I realize all the trivial superficial crap doesn’t matter.
Personally I would take time over money any day of the week, but that’s just me. No matter how much money you have you can’t buy the time you’ve lost back.
I’m trying to figure my way out of a similar situation.

I work ~40 hours a week, from home. I'd need a >30% pay increase to go into an office, while still working 40 hours. At that point, I'd still even have to think about it.
At a certain point (financially), it's just not worth it to sacrifice flexibility (time, work location, etc...). That number will be different for everyone, though. Two years ago, I may have a completely different outlook on this.

What's your number, where does time trump money?
In my early 50's. Time is the only real commodity.

Once I had cancer, I quickly realized time is more valuable than money. If I'm making enough to pay the bills and save a little, that's all I need.

I've been doing 60 hour weeks for 2 years straight, and an opportunity has arisen.
830 less hours a year. 4x10s... So an extra 52 days off. Double the vacation as well.
But at a 25% reduction in pay.
Current place will probably offer 10% or so to keep me. So more money actually.
I would change in a hearbeat.

First off you need to try and live with your new salary. Cut back all spending and live with 25% less. Its easy to say you will but harder to actually do it.
2ndly, your current schedule is only 58 hours not 60. Do you get Holidays and what not off? There's a huge difference between working a private job with no real sense of Holidays and time off, and working something like a bank where you have shift hours but are closed very often and basically not in business when not open.
There's huge difference between working a job you hate and are very busy, and just having to be at work for a certain amount of time. If you can screw around on TD, pay your bills, plan your life, etc. while on the clock that's a lot different than being with clients all day every day and doing paperwork you hate.

The 58 is scheduled, I'm here more than that and work weekends occasionally as well. No lunch. Limited holidays off.
New job is all holidays. No weekends.
Time off there is no comparison.
It's just money VS time.

If your lifestayle can afford it I would definitely chose time.
