Then you had the mid 80s to early 90s where murder and violent crime was as common as going out to get the morning paper

Well, this "condemnation" and "advice to students" will guarantee STTDB will endure .

Unlike kids like you who get all their history from movies and TV shows, I lived in both eras, and it wasn't like you think it was.

People were much less vulgar in public and on the airwaves. If a person seriously cursed (dropping f-bombs) in public (such as at sporting events) if there were ladies or children present, other men would call them out on it. I know, I saw it happen quite a few times.

Vast majority of fans have never heard the uncut song or if they have, can't understand it. Basically a song about the various ways you can be murdered in our state and it's played every game.

From the mouth of Coach O:

quote:

"I love our fans. I love the tunes. I love all that stuff. But the words used, I would prefer those words not to be used," said Orgeron

If he thinks it's a bad idea, shouldn't the dickhead students who chant the shite maybe at least try to respect the head coach's opinion?

this is where people like you go off the rail. No one cares, just don’t go to fricking each other in the stands and go to the bathroom to get coked up.

No one gives a damn. This is about what is happening in public whilst hiding among a crowd.

I kid you not, the first few times I heard it at games, I thought they were singing,

"BUP-BUBBLE UP WEEZAY!

Coaches and players have to be very careful when commenting about the fan base. Coach O put it very diplomatically. Hopefully our players have been instructed to not comment on fan behavior. Leave that to the administration.

Agree 100%.

Boorish more than anything.

The "sophomore in college" shock value is gone.

AND, it is old and worn out.

You're lame as frick. STTDB is completely necessary. its college football. It's rowdy. If you don't want your kids hearing it, cover their ears. You act like fans aren't shouting vulgar things at tailgate parties as you walk by.

I know this is a mind bending concept, but a lot of places and people are rowdy without being gutter trash.
