K paid and set up Duhon's family years ago.
Yep, the Duhon family's living situation greatly improved when he signed with Duke. The NCAA couldn't justify hammering LSU and turning a blind eye to Duke after this trial, which will keep us safe. Now, they better cover their tracks from here on out, because the NCAA will be looking for ways to look like they're doing something without harming UK, Duke, UNC, etc.

I predict the NCAA will ignore this entire Adidas spectacle. It's a black-eye on the sport and too many programs and legendary coaches are involved. They will claim that it was a legal issue and all the evidence was sealed.
Nothing will come of any of this, unless a specific school decides to take action. I don't think the NCAA will do anything.

North Carolina's Roy Williams said last week he'd never been asked to pay a recruit and added that he's "not familiar with" the devious underworld of college basketball portrayed at the trial.
There is not a man I dislike more in college basketball than Roy Williams.

Will made the rookie mistake of doing this shite himself. The HC should never be aware of this stuff. Plausible deniability people. It’s what Saban does at bama. Rogue boosters are the ones paying recruits.

The NCAA would have to essentially shut down every major program if that is the "standard". Every coach and team bends the rules...because great players would not come play for you if you didn't. The biggest violators are the best programs. Kansas, Duke, Kentucky, UNC, Louisville, etc are ALL competing for the top players...the same guys for whom the shoe companies are competing and have tie in's.
AAU ball is one big player auction with the major shoe companies running the show. This is simply how college basketball recruiting works...for all programs that want to have at least a chance at competing. Hell, Creighton was implemented in some testimony a few weeks back.

Authentication and relevance issues probably accounted for it not being introduced although it may not have been on any exhibit lists pre trial either.....

"So you said to me in Atlanta there was a 2019 kid I wanted to recruit, they can get him to LSU, you would have funded," Dawkins told Wade, according to Donnelly.
I've read this about 10 times and I'm not sure wtf this means. Who is "I" and who is "they"?
Doesn't this case revolve around Adidas funneling money to players to go to Adidas schools? We have a contract with Nike.

On its own it's mostly nothing, especially since the recruit is not coming to LSU. What it does is cause the NCAA to look harder at Will Wade and the program. However, they have little to no power to dig up dirt.
They would need someone with intimate knowledge of other recruiting violations where benefits were actually provided to come forward and cooperate. They won't have that so everything is good.

So Zion wanted money and housing. He signed with duke. Are they ignoring that duke gave home what he wanted? Somebody payed him. Don’t tell he signed with duke because of the history and stuff like that. As far as wade, he didn’t get him he offered him to me saying if you come we will give you what you want. Where did he go and start the investigation there and duke.

The shite is just beginning to hit the fan. If universities care about their reputations, they will take drastic action.
Maybe it's time to make college athletics go back to its original mission: Physical Health Education and participation by as many students as possible.
Not this perverted mess of greed and marketing.

Yeah, good luck with that.

Wade just looked incredibly uncomfortable answering that question on SEC Network.
Said he had never done business with Dawkins but didn’t look comfortable answering.

I was just listening, but he didn’t sound comfortable. He said “uhh...I’m proud of everything I’ve done as LSU’s coach, and I’ve never had any dealings with Christian Dawkins.

He seemed confident that he did no wrong and that nothing bad would come of it to me. I was fully expecting a bunch of coach speak but he was very matter of fact.

I wish the fricking SEC Network would show him at the podium.

Look I love Will Wade and LSU basketball but you have to be dirty to be competitive.
I’m fine with ya being dirty because I want to win and it’s the NCAA’s fault everything is fricked. Not Will Wade or LSU’s.
Are we dirty? Absolutely. Look at our class last year.
Do I blame Will Wade? Hell no. I’m all for it.
In this era, it’s a must .... not an option.
I mean its no coincidence most of the coaches that have come up in this are all winners for the most part. Gotta pay to play
