So it's OK to cheat as long as others cheat? We grew up in a different time and universe, I guess.

What will we be shocked about? That coaches pay recruits? Nobody is shocked by this, but if you think he’s in trouble based on that statement alone, then you are clueless.

hoepfully if he's willing to pay for players it's players better than the 7ft project kid.

Hell if you're gonna go all out and shell out cash we sure as hell better be talking about a zion williamson or RJ Barrett

Nothing's going to happen to Wade. Nothing's going to happen to Self. Nothing's going to happen to K. Nothing's going to happen to Miller. Nothing's going to happen to McDermott. Nothing's going to happen to Larranaga. Etc, etc, etc.
Only reason anything happened to Pitino is because he was on scandal #5.
A couple mid level guys will take the fall with the Feds and the NCAA doesn't know it's arse from a hole in the ground so all they'll end up doing is punishing players.

Impossible in CBB. The entire sport is dirty. It's been dirty for as long as I can remember

I know it's hard to read my post way up there on that horse of yours, but I never said it was ok. I just said that is what everyone does to get players. Even if the best programs can recruit without that stuff, LSU probably can't. We have some decent basketball history, but we have a dumpy arena, a fanbase that will always consider basketball #2 (or #3 for a lot of people), and no recent success.

Maybe I'm wrong, I hope this blows over. But this is serious development for LSU and Wade. I think.

The issue is that it becomes such the "norm" to do it this way, it's not even like cheating. It's like holding on the offensive line. That shite could be called every play .

Yep.......We aren’t talking about murder here. I’m all for playing by the same rules and these are the rules that Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, etc. etc play by. If the NCAA wants to crack down on everyone, then I’ll have no problems with the guilty being punished.

It’s a turning point for the NCAA. They either have to decide to turn a blind eye to all, or legalize it.

You have a point. If this was the NCAA or SEC doing the investigation, nothing would likely come from it. What makes this different is the FBI investigation. This is real stuff.

And it appears that LSU and WADE got snared in the trap. I didn't cause this to happen.

If Saban was caught on a FBI wire tap breaking the rules/law, he'd be in big trouble, too. Alabama nor the SEC could save him.

Perhaps there are some FBI agents that read this board. What do you make of this so far?

Why do you want Wade out so badly?

There's no way that what he said on the tape says that he gives players illegal benefits.

I've never said I want Wade gone. I'm still not suggesting that. But I know how things happen in the real world.

1. You like dog food

2. And you have an agenda, your 500 posts today saying the same shite over and over prove that.

I’m not sure why y’all and the media keep going back to “it wasn’t admitted”. It wasn’t admitted in this case because it’s not relevant to the case being tried. That has nothing to do with the accuracy of the report.

Right, and it doesn’t mean it won’t be admissible in some other proceeding, nor does it mean it won’t be considered for investigative purposes.
